Pakistani Super League franchise Javed Afridi, chairman of Peshawar Zalmi, said the Zalmi Foundation donated approximately 50,000 masks and medical equipment to the Afghan government to help the neighboring country fight the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He said the pandemic had hit economies worldwide hard. Our neighboring country Afghanistan also suffers from the same fate.
He said the Pakistani government wanted good relations with all neighboring countries, including Afghanistan, and wanted to unite the world in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Afridi said this was an attempt by the Zalmi Foundation to help people across the border who were going through a challenging time. He said the Zalmi Foundation has been active since the outbreak of the corona virus and distributes food to people in the Khyber Agency’s remote areas.
The Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan, Atif Mashal thanked Afridi and said I am very grateful to the Zalmi Foundation for helping us in this difficult situation. We appreciate the work of the Javed Afridi and the Zalmi Foundation. Javed Afridi has always played an important role in bringing people from both countries closer together. I pray that Pakistan, Afghanistan and the whole world will get rid of the corona virus soon.
پاکستانی سپر لیگ کی ٹیم پشاور زلمی کے چیئرمین جاوید آفریدی نے کہا کہ زلمی فاؤنڈیشن نے پڑوسی ملک کو جاری کورونا وائرس سے وبائی بیماری سے نمٹنے کے لئے افغان حکومت کو تقریبا 50،000 ماسک اور طبی سامان عطیہ کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وبائی مرض نے پوری دنیا کی معیشتوں کو مشکل سے متاثر کیا ہے۔ ہمسایہ ملک افغانستان بھی اسی قسمت کا شکار ہے۔
نہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستانی حکومت افغانستان سمیت تمام ہمسایہ ممالک کے ساتھ اچھے تعلقات کی خواہاں ہے اور وہ دنیا کو کورونا وائرس وبائی کے خلاف جنگ میں متحد کرنا چاہتی ہے۔
آفریدی نے کہا کہ یہ زلمی فاؤنڈیشن کی جانب سے سرحد کے اس پار لوگوں کی مدد کرنے کی ایک کوشش ہے جو ایک مشکل وقت سے گزر رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ زلمی فاؤنڈیشن کورونا وائرس کے پھیلنے کے بعد سے سرگرم عمل ہے اور خیبر ایجنسی کے دور دراز علاقوں میں لوگوں میں کھانا تقسیم کررہا ہے۔
پاکستان میں افغان سفیر عاطف مشعل نے آفریدی کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور کہا: “میں زلمی فاؤنڈیشن کا اس صورتحال میں ہماری مدد کرنے پر ان کا بے حد مشکور ہوں۔ ہم جاوید آفریدی اور زلمی فاؤنڈیشن کے کام کو سراہتے ہیں۔ جاوید آفریدی نے ہمیشہ ہی دونوں ممالک کے لوگوں کو قریب لانے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ میری دعا ہے کہ پاکستان ، افغانستان اور پوری دنیا جلد ہی کورونا وائرس سے نجات دلائے۔
