Actor Uzma Khan filed a complaint against women on Thursday, which she claimed were the daughters of business magnate Malik Riaz after the women allegedly broke into their home with armed men and instigated violence.
“I have been ashamed, molested and threatened with murder in the past 3 days. I feel like I have nothing to lose now and I have decided to fight the strongest people in Pakistan,” she said in a statement. “For me it is either that I get justice or get killed, but there will be no turning back now.”
“I’m going to fight daughters … from Malik Riaz, who stormed into my house at midnight with 12 armed men. I ask the police to register my FIR and to do me and my sister’s medical examination before our wounds heal start. I hope it’s me. ” as many Pakistanis as Malik Riaz. “
Uzma’s testimony came hours after a social media video showed the distraught-looking actor and her sister being yelled at by a group of women.
The video shows a woman shouting and accusing the actor of allegedly having an affair with a Usman.
The guards groped, harassed, and surrounded the actor while one of the women hit her with a shoe while throwing decorative glass objects at Uzma.
Another video showed the actor’s living space, which had allegedly been vandalised. Traces of blood could be seen on the floor.
The actress went on social media with her police complaint number and requested an urgent medical exam from her and her sister.
Shortly after Uzma’s testimony, a woman, Amna Usman, who named herself Usman’s wife, made a video statement claiming that her husband Usman Malik was not related to Malik Riaz.
“Firstly, I would add that my husband, Usman Malik, has nothing to do with Malik Riaz Hussain, he is not part of his immediate family. This is done to defame Malik Riaz; this is a personal spit between Hassaan Khan Niazi and Malik Riaz Hussain. “
She added, “As for someone’s intrusion, this was not the man’s house. This was my husband’s other house that I followed him to. Basically this was my husband’s house and I have it Right to be there. ” I have repeatedly warned this girl to save my 13-year marriage. It was not the first time that I approached her. “
She continued that she is aware that her husband is most accused and that she has left him.
Lahore’s capital city police officer Zulfiqar Hameed confirmed that he had received a complaint from the actor, after which an FIR was registered later that night.
Malik Riaz has also denied all involvement.
I categorically refute this malicious propaganda that connects me to a viral video. Usman is not my nephew. I am horrified by such an attempt to slander myself for something in which I am in no way involved, “he said.
He also threatened to file a defamation lawsuit against anyone who tries to “wrongly involve” him.
