The Prime Minister’s special assistant for youth, Usman Dar, called Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday and shortly after his mobilization, submitted the first report on the activities of the Corona Tiger Relief Force Dar informed the Prime Minister of the provincial governments’ cooperation with the force. He said that registering young people at the union council level helped them recruit unemployed people.
Usman Dar said he was satisfied with the information from the provinces, but also submitted a report on the lack of cooperation between the Sindh authorities on the matter. “154,000 youth from Sindh province are registered, but the government is not expanding cooperation to mobilize them,” he said. Prime Minister Imran Khan was satisfied with the activities of the tiger force and ordered Usman Dar to maintain coordination at the provincial level.
In the meantime, a decision will be made within two days on the youth registered with the tiger troop in the Sindh province. It is worth noting that on April 19, the government of Sindh reversed its decision to use the Prime Minister’s tiger force to distribute rations in the province. The Ministry of Services and General Administration of Sindh had written a letter on Saturday to six provincial commissioners and 29 deputy commissioners on the distribution of rations.
However, the Sindh energy minister, Imtiaz Shaikh, refused to send the letter to six commissioners and deputy commissioners because they had used tiger violence to distribute rations. “Tiger Force is based on political workers and the distribution of food bags in the province is transparent and fair,” he said. Imtiaz Sheikh said that the relief effort in Sindh, including the distribution of grocery bags, has nothing to do with politics. “No political party worker, including the PPP, will be part of this relief effort.”
