امریکہ نے فوری طور پر طالبان حکومت کو تسلیم کرنے سے انکار کر دیا
The United States has refused to immediately recognize the Taliban government in Afghanistan, saying it will only talk to the Taliban if it has the best interests at heart.
In a news briefing, State Department spokesman Ned Price said Pakistan has expressed the international community’s concerns about Afghanistan and wants to protect the benefits of the past 20 years.
He spoke in support of the US Alliance for Democracy, but said maintaining some independence was not the answer.
“Of course you have heard from us and other governments that we will negotiate with the Taliban on the basis of national interests,” Ned Price said.
“At the ministerial meeting, we heard similar sentiments from other countries,” he said.
Commenting on Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan, he said that Islamabad had stated its position on Afghanistan at the recent joint US-German ministerial meeting.
“Pakistan was engaged in a ministerial meeting and we heard similar sentiments from Pakistanis that we heard from other countries,” Ned Price said.
“There is a broad consensus among our Pakistani allies that the benefits of the last 20 years should not be wasted,” he said.
“Participants, especially Afghanistan’s neighbors, agreed to do everything possible to prevent the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan from deteriorating,” he said.
“And it’s especially felt in countries bordering Afghanistan,” Ned Price said. “The effects of humanity could be dangerous for these countries in the region.”
That is why the United States is reviewing its bilateral assistance to the Afghan government and providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, he said.
He said that this is a lasting commitment that not only the United States but also other countries in the region have felt.

ایک نیوز بریفنگ میں محکمہ خارجہ کے ترجمان نیڈ پرائس نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے افغانستان کے بارے میں عالمی برادری کے خدشات کا اظہار کیا ہے اور وہ گزشتہ 20 سالوں کے فوائد کی حفاظت کرنا چاہتا ہے۔
انہوں نے امریکی اتحاد برائے جمہوریت کی حمایت میں بات کی ، لیکن کہا کہ کچھ آزادی برقرار رکھنا اس کا جواب نہیں ہے۔
نیڈ پرائس نے کہا کہ یقینا آپ نے ہم اور دیگر حکومتوں سے سنا ہے کہ ہم طالبان سے قومی مفادات کی بنیاد پر مذاکرات کریں گے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ وزارتی اجلاس میں ہم نے دوسرے ممالک سے بھی اسی طرح کے جذبات سنے۔
افغانستان میں پاکستان کے کردار پر تبصرہ کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد نے حالیہ مشترکہ امریکی جرمن وزارتی اجلاس میں افغانستان کے بارے میں اپنا موقف بتا دیا ہے۔
نیڈ پرائس نے کہا کہ پاکستان ایک وزارتی اجلاس میں مصروف تھا اور ہم نے پاکستانیوں کے اسی طرح کے جذبات سنے جو ہم نے دوسرے ممالک سے سنے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمارے پاکستانی اتحادیوں کے درمیان ایک وسیع اتفاق رائے ہے کہ گزشتہ 20 سالوں کے فوائد ضائع نہیں ہونے چاہئیں۔
انہوں نے کہا ، “شرکاء ، خاص طور پر افغانستان کے پڑوسیوں نے افغانستان میں انسانی صورت حال کو بگڑنے سے روکنے کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کرنے پر اتفاق کیا۔”
“اور یہ خاص طور پر افغانستان سے متصل ممالک میں محسوس ہوتا ہے ،” نیڈ پرائس نے کہا۔ “خطے کے ان ممالک کے لیے انسانیت کے اثرات خطرناک ہو سکتے ہیں۔”
انہوں نے کہا کہ یہی وجہ ہے کہ امریکہ افغان حکومت کو اپنی دو طرفہ امداد کا جائزہ لے رہا ہے اور افغان عوام کو انسانی امداد فراہم کر رہا ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ ایک پائیدار عزم ہے جسے نہ صرف امریکہ بلکہ خطے کے دیگر ممالک نے بھی محسوس کیا ہے۔
