Experts say the failure of IMF officials to meet the required conditions has led to fears of delay in disbursement of loan installments, while the rise in prices of other commodities, including crude oil and coal, in the global market has not only increased inflation. There are fears that the volume of the import bill will rise further, affecting the performance of all sectors of the economy, and these are the factors that are driving up the demand for dollars.

نیوز کے مطابق آئی ایم ایف کی جانب سے اسٹیٹ بینک ایکٹ کے حوالے سے پاکستان کی تمام تجاویز مسترد کیے جانے کی خبر پر بدھ کو بھی انٹربینک مارکیٹ میں ڈالر کی اڑان جاری رہی۔ اوپن ریٹ روپے سے تجاوز کر گیا۔
انٹربینک مارکیٹ میں ڈالر کی قیمت اتار چڑھاؤ کے بعد مزید 74 پیسے اضافے سے 175.04 روپے پر بند ہوئی جب کہ اوپن کرنسی مارکیٹ میں ڈالر 50 پیسے اضافے سے 177.50 روپے پر بند ہوا۔
ماہرین کا کہنا ہے کہ آئی ایم ایف حکام کی جانب سے مطلوبہ شرائط پوری کرنے میں ناکامی کے باعث قرضوں کی قسطوں کی ادائیگی میں تاخیر کا خدشہ پیدا ہوگیا ہے جب کہ عالمی منڈی میں خام تیل اور کوئلے سمیت دیگر اشیاء کی قیمتوں میں اضافے سے نہ صرف مہنگائی میں اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ خدشہ ہے کہ درآمدی بل کا حجم مزید بڑھے گا جس سے معیشت کے تمام شعبوں کی کارکردگی متاثر ہوگی اور یہی وہ عوامل ہیں جو ڈالر کی طلب کو بڑھا رہے ہیں۔
