The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has announced that it will launch MBBS, BDS Supplementary, effective June 1, which was postponed in March of this year due to a coronavirus pandemic.
According to a spokesman, special precautions were taken in the examination centers to keep an eye on the coronavirus pandemic. The additional exams are taken while maintaining social distance.
Students were advised to come on time and bring hand sanitizers while they appear before the exam. Wearing masks is mandatory and no student is allowed to enter the examination room without masks.
In early May, the Vice Chancellors of Punjab Medical University (VCs) decided not to sponsor MBBS and BDS students across the province without exams.
Professor Javed Akram said on this occasion that they cannot promote medical students with exams because the decision will affect medical education. He said no changes have been made to the semester schedule and academic meetings of all medical universities will end at the scheduled time.
It was also agreed to formulate a unified guideline for conducting medical exams and online courses in the wake coronavirus pandemic.

اس سے قبل مئی میں ، پنجاب میڈیکل یونیورسٹیوں کے وائس چانسلرز (وی سی) نے ایم بی بی ایس اور بی ڈی ایس طلباء کو بغیر کسی امتحان کے پورے صوبے میں ترقی دینے کا فیصلہ کیا تھا۔
پروفیسر جاوید اکرم نے اس موقع پر کہا کہ وہ امتحانات لینے والے میڈیکل طلباء کی تشہیر نہیں کرسکتے کیونکہ اس فیصلے سے میڈیکل کی تعلیم متاثر ہوگی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سمسٹر شیڈول میں کوئی تبدیلی نہیں کی گئی ہے اور تمام میڈیکل یونیورسٹیوں کے تعلیمی سیشن مقررہ وقت پر ختم ہوں گے۔
