Tom Harrison, the chief executive of the Cricket Board (ECB) of England and Wales, announced that the cricket board will lose £ 380million by 1 July if there is no professional cricket because of the corona virus.
According to details, the Chief Executive Officer of the Cricket Board of England and Wales met with the Committee of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to discuss the current situation related to cricket in the country. Harrison added that all professional clubs and the ECB could lose 800 days of cricket. “We expect a worst-case scenario without cricket to be as bad as £ 380m this year,” he added.
“The following wind will hopefully allow us to play a significant number of friendly matches this summer, which will help us reduce the financial losses we’re currently facing,” said Harrison
