According to a report by the British news agency Reuters, the Russian foreign minister said that at present the international recognition of the Taliban is not being considered.
“The issue of international recognition of the Taliban is not currently under consideration,” he said.
The Russian foreign minister’s statement comes after the Taliban nominated Afghanistan for a seat in the United Nations.
