سندھ اسمبلی کی سیکیورٹی ریپڈ رسپانس فورس کے حوالے کردی گئی
عسکریت پسند تنظیموں کی دھمکیوں کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے کراچی میں حکام نے سندھ اسمبلی کی سیکیورٹی ریپڈ رسپانس فورس کے حوالے کردی ہے۔
ریپڈ رسپانس فورس ، جسے آر آر ایف بھی کہا جاتا ہے ، سندھ پولیس کا ایلیٹ کمانڈو یونٹ ہے۔ اہلکاروں کو عمارت اور مقننہ کے تحفظ کے لئے صوبائی اسمبلی کے دروازوں کے باہر اور چھتوں پر تعینات کیا گیا تھا۔
29 جون کو کراچی پاکستان اسٹاک ایکسچینج پر اس کے عملے کے حملے کو ناکام بنانے کے بعد آر آر ایف مشہور ہوا۔ تبادلے پر حملہ کرنے والے چار حملہ آوروں کو آر آر ایف اہلکاروں نے عمارت کے باہر ہلاک کردیا۔ ممنوعہ بلوچی لبریشن آرمی کے حملے میں ایک پولیس افسر سمیت تین افراد ہلاک ہوگئے۔
اسٹاک مارکیٹ پر حملے کے ایک دن بعد ، سندھ اسمبلی کے ترجمان آغا سراج خان درانی نے قانون ساز کو آگاہ کیا کہ کراچی کے ریڈ زون کے علاقے میں صوبائی قانون سازی کی تعمیر کو دہشت گردوں کے حملے کا خطرہ ہے۔
ترجمان نے کہا تھا کہ انھیں پہلے بھی انتباہ موصول ہوا تھا کہ گرفتار عسکریت پسندوں سے اس کی تصاویر برآمد ہونے کے بعد اسمبلی عمارت کو دہشت گردوں کے حملے کا نشانہ بنایا جاسکتا ہے۔
Citing threats from militant organizations, authorities in Karachi have handed over the security of the Sindh Assembly to the Rapid Response Force.
The Rapid Response Force, also known as the RRF, is an elite commando unit of the Sindh Police. Officers were deployed outside the provincial assembly doors and on the roofs to protect the building and the legislature.
The RRF became famous on June 29 after its staff foiled an attack on the Karachi Pakistan Stock Exchange. Four assailants who attacked the exchange were killed by RRF personnel outside the building. Three people, including a police officer, were killed in an attack by the banned Baloch Liberation Army.
A day after the stock market attack, Sindh Assembly spokesman Agha Siraj Khan Durrani informed the legislator that the construction of provincial legislation in the Red Zone area of Karachi was at risk of terrorist attack.
The spokesman said he had received earlier warnings that the assembly building could be targeted by terrorists after pictures of him were recovered from the arrested militants.
