Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has said that schools will not be reopened until the situation improves. Talking to Geo News on phone, Ghani said that schools would not be reopened at the request of school associations and action would be taken under the ordinance.
“Under no circumstances will we compromise on children’s health,” he said. The provincial minister said that the parents were asked to collect the fees so that the teachers could be paid their salaries. It should be noted that the Private Schools Action Committee has announced to open the school in three phases from June 15.
The Private Schools Action Committee said that not only millions of students are being affected by the closure of schools but also teachers, clerks, school van drivers, booksellers, stationery and canteen staff are facing unemployment and starvation.

وزیر تعلیم سندھ سعید غنی نے کہا ہے کہ جب تک صورتحال بہتر نہیں ہوگی اسکول دوبارہ نہیں کھلے جائیں گے۔ جیو نیوز سے فون پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے غنی نے کہا کہ اسکول ایسوسی ایشنز کی درخواست پر اسکول دوبارہ نہیں کھولے جائیں گے اور آرڈیننس کے تحت کارروائی کی جائے گی۔
انہوں نے کہا ، “ہم کسی بھی حالت میں بچوں کی صحت پر سمجھوتہ نہیں کریں گے۔ صوبائی وزیر نے کہا کہ والدین سے فیسیں وصول کرنے کو کہا گیا تاکہ اساتذہ کو ان کی تنخواہوں کی ادائیگی کی جاسکے۔ واضح رہے کہ نجی اسکول ایکشن کمیٹی نے 15 جون سے اسکول کو تین مراحل میں کھولنے کا اعلان کیا ہے۔
پرائیویٹ اسکول ایکشن کمیٹی نے کہا کہ اسکولوں کی بندش سے نہ صرف لاکھوں طلبا متاثر ہورہے ہیں بلکہ اساتذہ ، کلرک ، اسکول وین ڈرائیور ، کتاب فروش ، اسٹیشنری اور کینٹین عملہ بھی بے روزگاری اور افلاس کا شکار ہے۔
