ایس سی بی اے نے مالی مدد کے لیے وزیر اعظم کے ساتھ اپنی ملاقات ختم کی
The Supreme Court has rejected the notion that the Bar Association (SCBA) has met Prime Minister Imran Khan for financial assistance.
SCBA Secretary Ahmed Shehzad Farooq Rana issued a statement on Friday in which a SCBA delegation visited the Prime Minister a day earlier.
“There is a misconception that the SCBA has gone to the Prime Minister to support the government. It is not.”
The SCBA secretary said the meeting was hosted by Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, who “has always contributed greatly to the well-being of lawyers.”
He added that the SCBA has always worked for the welfare of lawyers and stood only for the rule of law.
“In fact, the main agenda of the meeting was to highlight the fact that successive governments, for their own selfish interests, are delaying the implementation of a housing society for Supreme Court lawyers.”
Rana claimed that the SCBA had not sought any financial assistance from the government. Authorities are delaying the completion of the projects.
The SCBA secretary added that the delegation had indicated that the reform agenda implemented by the law ministry or the performance of the law minister was not satisfactory.
He added that the Prime Minister agrees with the SCBA controversy. “The presence of the minister at the meeting was not actually communicated to the delegates.”
Rana said the SCBA had not provided any assistance to the government against Justice Khasi Faiz Isai. In fact, the bar association argued that the bar association should withdraw the “so-called” petition against it.
The SCBA secretary claimed that the delegation also pointed out the issue of appointment of judges. Bars in this regard should have transparency and implementation of the resolution.
The statement added that SCBA Executive Committee President Abdul Latif stands firm with Afridi.
سپریم کورٹ نے اس خیال کو مسترد کر دیا ہے کہ بار ایسوسی ایشن (ایس سی بی اے) نے مالی امداد کے لیے وزیر اعظم عمران خان سے ملاقات کی ہے۔
ایس سی بی اے کے سیکرٹری احمد شہزاد فاروق رانا نے جمعہ کو ایک بیان جاری کیا جس میں ایک دن پہلے ایس سی بی اے کے ایک وفد نے وزیر اعظم سے ملاقات کی۔
“ایک غلط فہمی ہے کہ ایس سی بی اے حکومت کی حمایت کے لیے وزیر اعظم کے پاس گیا ہے۔ ایسا نہیں ہے۔”
ایس سی بی اے کے سیکریٹری نے کہا کہ اجلاس کی میزبانی وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات فواد چوہدری نے کی ، جنہوں نے “وکلاء کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے ہمیشہ بڑا تعاون کیا ہے۔”
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ایس سی بی اے نے ہمیشہ وکلاء کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے کام کیا ہے اور صرف قانون کی حکمرانی کے لیے کھڑا ہے۔
“درحقیقت ، میٹنگ کا بنیادی ایجنڈا اس حقیقت کو اجاگر کرنا تھا کہ پے در پے حکومتیں اپنے ذاتی مفادات کے لیے سپریم کورٹ کے وکلاء کے لیے ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹی کے نفاذ میں تاخیر کر رہی ہیں۔”
رانا نے دعویٰ کیا کہ ایس سی بی اے نے حکومت سے کوئی مالی مدد نہیں مانگی۔ حکام منصوبوں کی تکمیل میں تاخیر کر رہے ہیں۔
ایس سی بی اے کے سیکریٹری نے مزید کہا کہ وفد نے اشارہ کیا کہ وزارت قانون کی جانب سے نافذ کردہ اصلاحاتی ایجنڈا یا وزیر قانون کی کارکردگی تسلی بخش نہیں ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ وزیر اعظم ایس سی بی اے تنازعہ سے اتفاق کرتے ہیں۔ “اجلاس میں وزیر کی موجودگی دراصل مندوبین کو نہیں پہنچائی گئی تھی۔”
رانا نے کہا کہ ایس سی بی اے نے حکومت کو جسٹس کھاسی فیض عیسائی کے خلاف کوئی مدد فراہم نہیں کی۔ در حقیقت ، بار ایسوسی ایشن نے دلیل دی کہ بار ایسوسی ایشن کو اس کے خلاف “نام نہاد” درخواست واپس لینی چاہیے۔
ایس سی بی اے کے سیکرٹری نے دعویٰ کیا کہ وفد نے ججوں کی تقرری کے مسئلے کی بھی نشاندہی کی۔ اس سلسلے میں بارز میں شفافیت اور قرارداد پر عمل درآمد ہونا چاہیے۔
بیان میں مزید کہا گیا کہ ایس سی بی اے ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کے صدر عبداللطیف آفریدی کے ساتھ کھڑے ہیں۔
