Prime Minister Imran Khan has termed the alleged audio of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar as an attack on the judiciary by the opposition and PML-N and said that all this is to put pressure on the judges of the high courts to get arbitrary decisions.
According to the report, in the meeting of spokespersons, Prime Minister Imran Khan discussed various issues including the alleged audio of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar which came to light recently, extraordinary price hike across the country and electoral reform laws.
A leader present at the meeting told Dawn that the prime minister had said that the conspiracy to leak the audio was hatched by the PML-N.
He directed the spokespersons to highlight the PML-N’s past history of how the party had attacked the judiciary and defamed the judges.
He said that the government stood by the state institutions.
Imran Khan asked his media team to inform the people that the PML-N has a history of threatening and defaming the judiciary, but the good tactics of the PML-N will not work this time. ‘
Regarding the recent enactment of laws regarding the use of electronic voting machines in the forthcoming general elections, the Prime Minister asked his spokespersons to reassure the people that the use of EVMs would end rigging in future elections.
Meanwhile, he also formed a 10-member advisory board of the newly formed National Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Authority NRA.
According to a notification issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the members of the NRA Board will serve as honorary members.
Board members include Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Hamza Yusuf, Syed Hussain Nasr, Dr. Muhammad Faghfuri, Dr. Joseph Lambard, Dr. Waleed Al-Ansari, Barrister Nadrat B. Majid, Dr. Anis Ahmed, Basit Koshal and Dr. Sahibzada Sajid-ur-Rehman.
وزیراعظم عمران خان نے سابق چیف جسٹس ثاقب نثار کی مبینہ آڈیو کو اپوزیشن اور مسلم لیگ ن کی جانب سے عدلیہ پر حملہ قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ یہ سب اعلیٰ عدالتوں کے ججوں پر من مانی فیصلے کرانے کے لیے دباؤ ڈالنا ہے۔ .
رپورٹ کے مطابق ترجمان وزیراعظم عمران خان سے ملاقات میں سابق چیف جسٹس ثاقب نثار کی حال ہی میں سامنے آنے والی مبینہ آڈیو، ملک بھر میں قیمتوں میں غیر معمولی اضافے اور انتخابی اصلاحاتی قوانین سمیت مختلف امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
اجلاس میں موجود ایک رہنما نے بتایا کہ وزیراعظم نے کہا تھا کہ آڈیو لیک کرنے کی سازش ن لیگ نے رچی تھی۔
انہوں نے ترجمانوں کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ مسلم لیگ ن کی ماضی کی تاریخ پر روشنی ڈالیں کہ کس طرح پارٹی نے عدلیہ پر حملہ کیا اور ججز کو بدنام کیا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت ریاستی اداروں کے ساتھ کھڑی ہے۔
عمران خان نے اپنی میڈیا ٹیم سے کہا کہ وہ عوام کو آگاہ کریں کہ ن لیگ کی عدلیہ کو دھمکیاں دینے اور بدنام کرنے کی تاریخ رہی ہے لیکن اس بار ن لیگ کے اوچھے ہتھکنڈے کام نہیں آئیں گے۔ ‘
آنے والے عام انتخابات میں الیکٹرانک ووٹنگ مشینوں کے استعمال سے متعلق قانون کے حالیہ نفاذ کے بارے میں، وزیر اعظم نے اپنے ترجمانوں سے کہا کہ وہ لوگوں کو یقین دلائیں کہ ای وی ایم کے استعمال سے مستقبل کے انتخابات میں دھاندلی ختم ہو جائے گی۔
دریں اثنا، انہوں نے نو تشکیل شدہ قومی رحمت العالمین اتھارٹی این آر اے کا 10 رکنی مشاورتی بورڈ بھی تشکیل دیا۔
وزیراعظم آفس سے جاری نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق این آر اے بورڈ کے ممبران اعزازی ممبران کے طور پر کام کریں گے۔
بورڈ کے ممبران میں ڈاکٹر عطا الرحمان، حمزہ یوسف، سید حسین نصر، ڈاکٹر محمد فغفوری، ڈاکٹر جوزف لیمبارڈ، ڈاکٹر ولید الانصاری، بیرسٹر نادر بی ماجد، ڈاکٹر انیس احمد، باسط کوشال اور ڈاکٹر شامل ہیں۔ صاحبزادہ ساجد الرحمان۔
