Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the country on Sunday, May 24.
The committee headed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman Central Royat e Hilal Committee, met at Meteorological Department, Karachi Complex. Apart from the members of Royat-e-Hilal Committee, members of Zonal Committee and Navy experts also attended the meeting and members of Meteorological Department SPARCO also attended the meeting for technical assistance. Announcing the sighting of the moon, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that evidence was received from the areas where the moon was likely to be seen and it took time to review them.

مفتی منیب الرحمٰن ، چیئرمین مرکزی روئیت ہلال کمیٹی کی سربراہی میں کمیٹی کا اجلاس محکمہ موسمیات ، کراچی کمپلیکس میں ہوا۔ اس اجلاس میں رویت ہلال کمیٹی کے ممبروں کے علاوہ زونل کمیٹی کے ممبران اور بحریہ کے ماہرین بھی شریک ہوئے اور تکنیکی معاونت کے لئے محکمہ موسمیات اسپارکو کے ممبران نے بھی شرکت کی۔ مفتی منیب الرحمن نے چاند نظر آنے کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان علاقوں سے شواہد مل گئے ہیں جہاں چاند نظر آنے کا امکان ہے اور ان پر نظرثانی کرنے میں وقت لگا۔
