قریشی نے پومپیو کو بتایا کہ پاکستان امن کے لئے بطور شراکت دار امریکہ کے ساتھ مل کر کام کرے گا
وزیر خارجہ شاہ محمود قریشی نے جمعہ کے روز امریکی وزیر خارجہ مائیک پومپیو کے ساتھ فونی گفتگو میں کہا ، “پاکستان امریکہ کے ساتھ امن کے لئے شراکت دار ہوگا۔
دفتر خارجہ کے ایک بیان میں کہا گیا ہے کہ “دونوں فریقین کے مابین” امن ، خوشحالی اور استحکام کو فروغ دینے کے نقطہ نظر سے دوطرفہ تعلقات اور علاقائی پیشرفت پر توجہ مرکوز کی گئی ہے۔ “، وزیر خارجہ نے پاک امریکہ تعلقات کی اہمیت پر زور دیتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ دونوں ممالک کی قیادت اس کو مزید مستحکم کرنے کے لئے پرعزم تھی۔
قریشی نے ہندوستان کے سکریٹری پومپیو کو ہندوستان کی غیرقانونی طور پر مقبوضہ جموں وکشمیر (آئی او او جے کے) میں جاری انسانی حقوق کی بنیادی خلاف ورزیوں اور بنیادی آزادیوں کی خلاف ورزیوں سے آگاہ کیا۔
وزیر نے 5 اگست 2020 کو کشمیر میں ہندوستان کی یکطرفہ اور غیر قانونی کارروائیوں کے ایک سال کی تکمیل پر اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل میں ہونے والی بحث میں امریکی شرکت پر ان کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ سلامتی کونسل کے مشوروں نے ایک بار پھر جموں و کشمیر کی متنازعہ حیثیت کی تصدیق کی۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ عالمی برادری کی مستقل دلچسپی اور وابستگی کشمیری عوام کی خواہشات اور اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل کی سلامتی کی قراردادوں کے مطابق جموں و کشمیر تنازعہ کے حل کے لئے ضروری رفتار پیدا کرنے میں معاون ہوگی۔
افغانستان میں حالیہ پیشرفتوں کا جائزہ لیتے ہوئے ، وزیر خارجہ قریشی نے جامع اور جامع سیاسی تصفیہ کے لئے تمام کوششوں کی حمایت کرنے کے لئے پاکستان کے مستقل عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔
انہوں نے زور دے کر کہا کہ افغان امن عمل کو پوری تندہی سے آگے بڑھانا چاہئے۔ انہوں نے لویا جرگہ کے انعقاد کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے اس امید کا اظہار کیا کہ جلد از جلد انٹرا افغان مذاکرات کے جلد انعقاد کے لئے ایک سازگار ماحول پیدا کیا جائے گا۔
کوویڈ-19 وبائی امراض پر نوٹوں کا تبادلہ کرتے ہوئے وزیر خارجہ نے سکریٹری پومپیو کا امریکی تعاون اور مدد پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے پاکستان میں سمارٹ لاک ڈاؤن کی پالیسی کے بعد حوصلہ افزا نتائج کا بھی تبادلہ کیا ، جس سے حکومت کو معیشت کے بتدریج آغاز میں مدد ملی۔

The Minister thanked him for the US participation in the debate in the UN Security Council on August 5, 2020 on the conclusion of a year of unilateral and illegal actions by India in Kashmir.
He said the Security Council deliberations reaffirmed the controversial status of Jammu and Kashmir. He also said that the continued interest and commitment of the international community would help generate the momentum necessary to resolve the Jammu-Kashmir conflict in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people and the relevant UN Security Council security resolutions.
In reviewing recent developments in Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Qureshi reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to support all efforts to find an inclusive and comprehensive political solution.
He stressed that the Afghan peace process should seriously continue. Regarding the participation of Loya Jirga, he expressed the hope that a favorable environment would be created for the earliest convening of the intra-Afghan negotiations.
The Secretary of State shared notes on the COVID-19 pandemic and thanked Secretary Pompeo for the U.S. support and assistance. He also shared the encouraging results following the smart lockdown policy in Pakistan, which helped the government gradually open up the economy.
Secretary Pompeo described his conversation with Qureshi in a tweet as “productive” and expressed his desire to advance the common goals. “A productive phone call with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi today about continued cooperation on Afghan peace and the importance of supporting regional stability,” he said. Pompeo said he looks forward to advancing our common goals and strengthening the partnership.
