Punjab Justice Minister Raja Basharat led a meeting to review the situation in the province due to the corona virus. He ordered the officers to prepare SOPs for the prayers of the Jumatul Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr congregations in the province Provincial Minister of Industry Mian Aslam Iqbal, Punjab chief secretary Jawad Rafiq and IG Punjab police also attended the meeting. Punjab chief secretary Jawad Rafiq informed the meeting that security should be offered during Friday and Eid prayers and violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs) should not be tolerated at all costs.
He also instructed officials to use help with traders to ensure that in market SOPs will be followed. “In the event of non-compliance with SOPs, the entire market should be sealed,” he said. He added that markets are only allowed to do business four days a week, while they are closed for the remaining three days. The shopping centers throughout Punjab will reopen tomorrow (Monday) after the provincial government has given permission to resume operations.

وزیر انصاف پنجاب راجہ بشارت نے کورونا وائرس کی وجہ سے صوبے کی صورتحال کا جائزہ لینے کے لئے ایک اجلاس کی قیادت کی۔ انہوں نے افسران کو حکم دیا کہ وہ صوبہ میں جمعتہ الوداع اور عید الفطر کی نماز کے اجتماعات کے لئے ایس او پیز تیار کریں۔ پنجاب کے چیف سکریٹری جواد رفیق نے اجلاس کو بتایا کہ جمعہ اور عید کی نماز کے دوران سیکیورٹی پیش کی جانی چاہئے اور معیاری آپریٹنگ طریقہ کار (ایس او پیز) کی خلاف ورزی ہر قیمت پر برداشت نہیں کی جانی چاہئے۔
انہوں نے عہدیداروں کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ تاجروں کے ساتھ مدد استعمال کریں تاکہ مارکیٹ میں ایس او پیز کی پیروی کی جاسکے۔ انہوں نے کہا ، “ایس او پیز کے ساتھ عمل نہ کرنے کی صورت میں ، پوری مارکیٹ کو سیل کردیا جانا چاہئے۔” انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ مارکیٹوں کو ہفتے میں صرف چار دن کاروبار کرنے کی اجازت ہے ، جبکہ وہ باقی تین دن کے لئے بند ہیں۔ صوبائی حکومت کی جانب سے دوبارہ کام شروع کرنے کی اجازت ملنے کے بعد کل (پیر) کوپنجاب میں خریداری مراکز دوبارہ کھل جائیں گے۔
