پنجاب کے 15 اضلاع میں پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ معطل
The recent escalation of Covid cases in Punjab prompted government to shut down public transport in 15 districts.
The ban was announced on the recommendation of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
A motorway police spokesman told the media that the government had stopped passenger buses from traveling on the highway during the fourth wave of the outbreak to discourage the use of public transport.
The orders are in line with the provincial health department’s first decision to close public transport over the weekend, and there is severe smart lockdown in the affected areas.
Other provincial government restrictions include:
Closed business and professional activities on weekends.
Essential services like pharmacy will be open 24 hours a week.
Indoor meals are strictly forbidden, but outside meals are allowed until 10 p.m.
Indoor weddings and gatherings are strictly prohibited, but outdoor gatherings with a maximum capacity of 300 guests are allowed.
Public and private offices can carry out normal activities but with only 50% attendance.
Railways will work as usual but maximum occupancy will be 0%.
The ban on public transport is expected to remain in place till September 12, the last date of the new protocol is also subject to the conditions of COVID 19 issued in Punjab, the report said.

یہ احکامات صوبائی محکمہ صحت کے ہفتے کے آخر میں پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ بند کرنے کے پہلے فیصلے کے مطابق ہیں اور متاثرہ علاقوں میں سخت سمارٹ لاک ڈاؤن ہے۔
صوبائی حکومت کی دیگر پابندیوں میں شامل ہیں:
اختتام ہفتہ پر بند کاروباری اور پیشہ ورانہ سرگرمیاں۔
فارمیسی جیسی ضروری خدمات ہفتے میں 24 گھنٹے کھلی رہیں گی۔
اندرونی کھانے پر سختی سے پابندی ہے ، لیکن باہر کے کھانے کی اجازت رات 10 بجے تک ہے۔
اندرونی شادیوں اور اجتماعات پر سختی سے پابندی ہے ، لیکن 300 مہمانوں کی زیادہ سے زیادہ گنجائش والے بیرونی اجتماعات کی اجازت ہے۔
سرکاری اور نجی دفاتر معمول کی سرگرمیاں انجام دے سکتے ہیں لیکن صرف 50 فیصد حاضری کے ساتھ۔
ریلوے معمول کے مطابق کام کرے گا لیکن زیادہ سے زیادہ قبضہ 0٪ ہوگا۔
رپورٹ میں کہا گیا ہے کہ پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ پر پابندی 12 ستمبر تک برقرار رہنے کی توقع ہے ، نئے پروٹوکول کی آخری تاریخ بھی پنجاب میں جاری کووڈ 19 کی صورتحال سے مشروط ہے۔
