Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the provincial governments should not shy away from any drastic action against inflation.
Taking stern notice that the effects of reduction in prices of petroleum products have not been passed on to the people, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Chief Ministers and Chief Secretaries to monitor the reduction in prices and sales themselves.
The Prime Minister said that the impact of reduction in prices of petroleum products should come in the form of reduction in prices of essential commodities, provincial governments should not shy away from any drastic action against inflation.
In this regard, the Prime Minister also directed the National Price Monitoring Committee to submit a report on the prices of essential commodities on a weekly basis.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister’s Office has also issued a letter to the Chief Ministers, Chief Secretaries and Chairman National Price Monitoring Committee. According to the letter, the prices of petroleum products have come down sharply in the last few months, the prices of essential commodities have gone up instead of down. Monitor the prices of essential commodities on a daily basis and set up a mechanism with the National Price Monitoring Committee in collaboration with the provinces to curb inflation.

اسلام آباد: وزیراعظم عمران خان کا کہنا ہے کہ صوبائی حکومتیں مہنگائی کے خلاف کسی بھی قسم کے سخت ایکشن سے گریزنہ کریں۔
پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں کمی کے اثرات عوام تک منتقل نہ ہونے پروزیراعظم عمران خان نے سخت نوٹس لیتے ہوئے وزرائے اعلی، چیف سیکرٹریزکوقیمتوں وکرایوں میں کمی کے معاملات خود مانیٹرکرنے کی ہدایت کردی ہے۔
وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں کمی کے اثرات اشیائے ضروریہ کی قیمتوں میں کمی کی صورت میں سامنے آنے چاہیئے، صوبائی حکومتیں مہنگائی کے خلاف کسی بھی قسم کے سخت ایکشن سے گریز نہ کریں۔
اس متعلق وزیراعظم نے نیشنل پرائس مانیٹرنگ کمیٹی کوہفتہ واربنیادوں پر اشیائے ضروریہ کی قیمتوں پر رپورٹ پیش کرنے کی ہدایت بھی کی۔
دوسری جانب وزیراعظم آفس کی جانب سے صوبوں کے وزرائے اعلی، چیف سیکرٹریز اورچیئرمین نیشنل پرائس مانیٹرنگ کمیٹی کو مراسلہ بھی جاری کردیا گیا ہے۔ مراسلے کے مطابق گزشتہ مہینوں میں پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں واضح کمی آئی ہے، اشیائے ضروریہ کی قیمتوں میں کمی کے بجائے اضافہ دیکھنے میں آرہا ہے، حال ہی میں گندم کٹائی مکمل ہوئی، آٹے کی قیمتوں میں اضافے کا کوئی جواز نہیں، صوبائی حکومتیں روزانہ کی بنیاد پر اشیائے ضروریہ کی قیمتوں کی مانیٹرنگ کریں اور نیشنل پرائس مانیٹرنگ کمیٹی صوبوں کے ساتھ ملکر مہنگائی کے خاتمے کے لیے میکنزم بنائے۔
