Sherry claimed that rising food prices are expected to push up food prices further.
The PPP leader also criticized the PTI government over the decision of the Financial Action Task Force to put Pakistan on the gray list.
“After bulldozing all the bills, it is unfortunate that Pakistan remains on the FATF’s gray list and despite the fact that they have put Pakistan in an economic slump, the government has little interest in resolving important issues. “Because she is engaged in a vicious campaign against opposition members. She is busy expanding the powers of women journalists or PEMRAs who are acting like Pakistan’s deputy and good police,” the senator said.
Agreeing with Rehman, Syed Hassan Murtaza, the PPP’s parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly, advised the PTI to register “inflation” as its election symbol instead of “bat”.
In the name of “change”, he gave inflation to the people, Murtaza said.
Mocking the government, the PPP MPA said that if it was in the hands of the government, they would have imposed an “oxygen tax”.
Murtaza said that we are mobilizing our workers all over the country including Punjab on the instructions of the party chairman and will record a full scale protest against the rising inflation across the country.

رحمان سے اتفاق کرتے ہوئے، پنجاب اسمبلی میں پیپلز پارٹی کے پارلیمانی لیڈر سید حسن مرتضیٰ نے پی ٹی آئی کو مشورہ دیا کہ وہ “بلے” کے بجائے “مہنگائی” کو اپنے انتخابی نشان کے طور پر درج کرے۔
مرتضیٰ نے کہا کہ “تبدیلی” کے نام پر عوام کو مہنگائی دی۔
حکومت پر طنز کرتے ہوئے پی پی پی کے ایم پی اے نے کہا کہ اگر یہ حکومت کے ہاتھ میں ہوتی تو وہ ’’آکسیجن ٹیکس‘‘ لگا دیتے۔
مرتضیٰ نے کہا کہ ہم پارٹی چیئرمین کی ہدایات پر پنجاب سمیت ملک بھر میں اپنے کارکنوں کو متحرک کر رہے ہیں اور ملک بھر میں بڑھتی ہوئی مہنگائی کے خلاف بھرپور احتجاج ریکارڈ کرائیں گے۔
