Prime Minister Imran Khan hosted a high-level meeting on the development issues of the CP reforms in relation to the next budget and the economic situation in the provinces in the wake of the corona virus, in particular the provinces’ income and expenditure and the future strategy to review resource problems to speed up the process of institutional reform in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so as not to cut essential spending in the province. He also instructed people to be given extensive information about the province’s economic situation after the corona virus.
The prime minister said that despite the economic difficulties, every effort should be made to minimize the impact on development spending. Likewise, the next budget should focus on out-of-box solutions for development spending, he added. He added that public-private partnerships for development projects should be targeted and promoted so that, on the one hand, development requirements can be met, and on the other hand, the burden on the government by strengthening the role of the private sector could be minimized.
The Prime Minister addressed energy issues and instructed that, in consultation with the Ministry of Energy, develop a future strategy related to energy issues and the province’s capacity to generate energy. During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on the progress in establishing the Rashakai Special Economic Zone, the implementation of the Swat Motorway Phase 2 project and the province’s capacity in terms of energy generation and future projects.
He meeting also reviewed the progress of development projects in the merged tribal areas. The prime minister said the development of merged areas was the foremost priority of the present government. It was committed to providing all the resources achieving the objective, he maintained.
Various recommendations have been presented to the Prime Minister regarding the implementation of phase 2 of the Swat highway and other development projects, with an emphasis on the rapid completion of projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے کورونا وائرس کے تناظر میں آئندہ بجٹ اور صوبوں کی معاشی صورتحال خصوصا صوبوں کی آمدنی اور اخراجات اور مستقبل کے سلسلے میں سی پی اصلاحات کے ترقیاتی امور پر ایک اعلی سطحی اجلاس کی میزبانی کی۔ خیبر پختونخوا میں ادارہ جاتی اصلاحات کے عمل کو تیز کرنے کے لئے وسائل کے مسائل کا جائزہ لینے کی حکمت عملی تاکہ صوبے میں ضروری اخراجات میں کمی نہ آسکے۔ انہوں نے لوگوں کو کورونا وائرس کے بعد صوبے کی معاشی صورتحال کے بارے میں وسیع معلومات فراہم کرنے کی ہدایت بھی کی۔
وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ معاشی مشکلات کے باوجود ترقیاتی اخراجات پر پڑنے والے اثرات کو کم سے کم کرنے کی ہر ممکن کوشش کی جانی چاہئے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اسی طرح اگلے بجٹ میں بھی ترقیاتی اخراجات کے آؤٹ آف باکس حل پر توجہ دی جانی چاہئے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے لئے پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنرشپ کو نشانہ بنایا جائے اور اس کو فروغ دیا جائے تاکہ ایک طرف ترقیاتی ضروریات پوری ہوسکیں ، اور دوسری طرف نجی شعبے کے کردار کو مستحکم کرکے حکومت پر کم سے کم بوجھ پڑسکے۔
وزیر اعظم نے توانائی کے مسائل کو حل کیا اور ہدایت کی کہ وزارت توانائی کے مشورے سے توانائی کے مسائل اور صوبے کی توانائی پیدا کرنے کی صلاحیت سے متعلق مستقبل کی حکمت عملی تیار کرے۔ اجلاس کے دوران ، راشاکی اسپیشل اکنامک زون کے قیام ، سوات موٹروے فیز 2 منصوبے پر عمل درآمد اور توانائی کی پیداوار اور مستقبل کے منصوبوں کے حوالے سے صوبے کی صلاحیت کے بارے میں تفصیلی بریفنگ دی گئی۔
انہوں نے اجلاس میں ضم شدہ قبائلی علاقوں میں ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی پیشرفت کا بھی جائزہ لیا۔ وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ ضم شدہ علاقوں کی ترقی موجودہ حکومت کی اولین ترجیح ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مقصد کو حاصل کرنے کے لئے تمام وسائل کی فراہمی کے لئے پرعزم ہے۔
پبلک سیکٹر ڈویلپمنٹ پروگرام (پی ایس ڈی پی) کے تحت منصوبوں کی تیزی سے تکمیل پر زور دینے کے ساتھ ، سوات شاہراہ اور دوسرے ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے فیز 2 کے نفاذ کے سلسلے میں وزیر اعظم کو مختلف سفارشات پیش کی گئیں۔
