Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Property, Housing and Construction Expo 2021.
The Prime Minister said, while addressing the inaugural function in Islamabad that the construction sector is the largest employer as it has a number of industries associated with it.
“It’s a way to create jobs, create wealth, increase income to meet expenses and repay debts. We will repay debts when the economy grows and more than anything,” he said. “It simply came to our notice then.
The Prime Minister urged the construction sector to be fully dependent on imports and said that “all raw materials are available in Pakistan”.
“I assure you that we will give you our full support. It is the government’s job to make more things happen in Pakistan,” he added.
According to Prime Minister Imran, the country was experiencing a “construction boom” due to high demand for low-cost housing for 220 million people.

The prime minister told the ceremony that he had called on the head of the International Monetary Fund to seek concessions for the construction industry during the Cove 19 epidemic.
He also said that during several meetings, “we felt … our whole system is designed in such a way that it creates obstacles rather than facilitating and encouraging the creation of industry and wealth.”
When a society is in decline, the Prime Minister said that its bureaucracy also develops and serves itself instead of encouraging development and prosperity. He added that it takes time to change the system.
Prime Minister Imran said that many meetings have been held to remove the obstacles in the way of construction industry and while they have not been completely removed, there are more incentives for this industry than before and the government should increase them. Will keep doing
Talking about issues at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), he said the government was “constantly trying to reform the body”, pointing out that Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen belonged to the private sector. Have and are aware of its problems.
He said that the real potential of Pakistan’s population would be realized only when the industry, especially the export industry, was encouraged.
“It is important that we help ourselves, facilitate you and the government make business easier for you, but then you also help the government by paying taxes,” he stressed.
“Unless taxes are paid, the country’s wealth will not increase and the government will not be able to facilitate the construction sector, so it is a two-way system,” he said.
“We have to help you increase your wealth. You have to help us by paying taxes so that we can improve the infrastructure and meet the basic needs of the people.”
The Prime Minister said that the government would continue to work with the ICCI and resolve its issues.

وزیر اعظم نے تعمیراتی شعبے کو درآمدات پر مکمل انحصار کرنے پر زور دیا اور کہا کہ “تمام خام مال پاکستان میں دستیاب ہیں”۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ “میں آپ کو یقین دلاتا ہوں کہ ہم آپ کو اپنا بھرپور تعاون دیں گے۔ یہ حکومت کا کام ہے کہ پاکستان میں مزید چیزیں ہو جائیں۔”
وزیر اعظم عمران کے مطابق ، 220 ملین افراد کے لیے کم لاگت والے مکانات کی زیادہ مانگ کی وجہ سے ملک کو “تعمیراتی تیزی” کا سامنا ہے۔
انہوں نے افسوس کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ماضی میں عام آدمی ، روزانہ اجرت کمانے والے یا سرکاری ملازمین کو کبھی بھی اپنے گھر بنانے کا موقع نہیں ملا کیونکہ ان کے پاس رہن کے فنانسنگ کے اختیارات نہیں تھے لیکن یہ رکاوٹ اب دور ہو گئی ہے کیونکہ حکومت کی طرف سے حکومت کی کوششوں کی وجہ سے فیکلٹی قانون
“بینک لوگوں کو رہن کی فنانسنگ کے لیے ادائیگی کریں گے اور پھر ہماری 220 ملین کی آبادی ایک اثاثہ بن جائے گی کیونکہ اس سے مانگ پیدا ہوگی اور پھر تعمیرات اور متعلقہ صنعتیں کام کرنا شروع کردیں گی۔”
وزیر اعظم نے تقریب کو بتایا کہ انہوں نے بین الاقوامی مالیاتی فنڈ کے سربراہ سے کہا تھا کہ وہ کووڈ 19 وبا کے دوران تعمیراتی صنعت کے لیے مراعات طلب کریں۔
انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ کئی میٹنگوں کے دوران ، “ہم نے محسوس کیا … ہمارا سارا نظام اس طرح سے ڈیزائن کیا گیا ہے کہ یہ صنعت اور دولت کی تخلیق میں سہولت اور حوصلہ افزائی کے بجائے رکاوٹیں پیدا کرتا ہے۔”
جب کوئی معاشرہ زوال کا شکار ہوتا ہے تو وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ اس کی بیوروکریسی بھی ترقی اور خوشحالی کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنے کے بجائے خود ترقی کرتی ہے اور اپنی خدمت کرتی ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ نظام کو بدلنے میں وقت لگتا ہے۔
وزیر اعظم عمران نے کہا کہ تعمیراتی صنعت کی راہ میں حائل رکاوٹوں کو دور کرنے کے لیے کئی ملاقاتیں ہو چکی ہیں اور جب کہ وہ مکمل طور پر نہیں ہٹائی گئی ہیں ، اس صنعت کے لیے پہلے سے زیادہ ترغیبات ہیں اور حکومت کو ان میں اضافہ کرنا چاہیے۔ کرتے رہیں گے۔
فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو (ایف بی آر) میں مسائل کے بارے میں بات کرتے ہوئے ، انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت “باڈی میں اصلاحات کی مسلسل کوشش کر رہی ہے” ، وزیر خزانہ شوکت ترین کا تعلق نجی شعبے سے ہے۔ اس کے مسائل سے آگاہ ہیں اور ہیں۔

انہوں نے زور دیا کہ “یہ ضروری ہے کہ ہم اپنی مدد کریں ، آپ کو سہولت دیں اور حکومت آپ کے لیے کاروبار کو آسان بنائے ، لیکن پھر آپ ٹیکس ادا کرکے حکومت کی بھی مدد کریں۔”
انہوں نے کہا کہ جب تک ٹیکس ادا نہیں کیا جائے گا ، ملک کی دولت میں اضافہ نہیں ہوگا اور حکومت تعمیراتی شعبے کو سہولت نہیں دے سکے گی ، لہذا یہ دو طرفہ نظام ہے۔
“ہمیں آپ کی دولت بڑھانے میں آپ کی مدد کرنی ہے۔ آپ کو ٹیکس ادا کر کے ہماری مدد کرنی ہے تاکہ ہم انفراسٹرکچر کو بہتر بنا سکیں اور لوگوں کی بنیادی ضروریات کو پورا کر سکیں۔”
وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ حکومت آئی سی سی آئی کے ساتھ کام جاری رکھے گی اور اس کے مسائل حل کرے گی۔
