Due to the corona virus, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to provide financial assistance to needy players, match officials, scorers and ground staff. According to the PCB spokesperson, the first payment will be made to the needy on the basis of merit before Eid, Rs 25,000 to cricketers, Rs 15,000 to match officials and Rs 10,000 to scorers and ground staff.
The PCB said the board could be contacted from May 4 to 14 to collect the money. Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani said that all activities are suspended due to Corona virus. It is the responsibility of everyone to take care of them. He is standing with his people in the lockdown. This is the right time to set up a fund. He said that activities are suspended. In the current situation, it was good for the cricketers to come forward and auction their valuables.
Shahid Afridi, Azhar Ali and Roman Raees are the most prominent. These cricketers are also commendable. Earlier, the PCB had donated more than Rs 10 million to the Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund.
