Prime Minister Imran Khan, in a meeting with Senator Faisal Javed, praised the spirit of the philanthropists that manifested in raising funds for the Corona Relief Fund on Wednesday, saying the Pakistani nation has consistently faced challenges.
The primer said people made generous donations to help those in need who were affected by the financial impact of the ban. He was confident that the nation would face the challenge of the corona virus with unity and resilience.
Senator Faisal Javed informed the Prime Minister of the next telethon transmission on Thursday to raise funds for the Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund. He said Pakistanis at home and abroad could make donations through the “biggest telethon broadcast in the country’s history,” broadcast by state media and private television channels.
People can also contribute to the fund by sending a mobile message to 6677, a facility offered by telecommunications companies, he added.
