On Tuesday, Pakistan rejected the Indian State Department’s comments on Pakistani leaders’ comments on minority rights in India and described the New Delhi Declaration as “irresponsible” and “completely unfounded”.
A press release from the Federal Foreign Office on Tuesday said: “We reject the irresponsible and completely unfounded statements by the spokesman for the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA), which reflect India’s persistent state of refusal regarding the right to minorities, especially Muslims in India. The treatment of minorities in India is a serious problem not only for Indian minorities and neighboring countries, but also for the international community. “
