Oppo seems to have a phone release series lately, with a trio of phones released within a few days. The latest model from the Chinese brand is the all-rounder Oppo A52 with Snapdragon 665, UFS 2.1, a solid battery and much more.
Design and Display
The Oppo A52 has a flat 6.52-inch LCD with FHD + resolution and a high aspect ratio of 20: 9. In the upper left corner there is a normal-sized hole cutout for the front-facing camera. Oppo has also jumped the side-mounted fingerprint sensor pull.
The entire bezel looks a bit thicker, especially the chin is very wide and chunky.
Internals and Storage
The handset is operated by the mid-range Snapdragon 665 SoC with a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB memory, which can be expanded via a micro SD card. Something we see less and less these days, especially with flagships, a trend that has to make a comeback.
For the software, the Oppo A52 launches the highly customized ColorOS 7.1 on Android 10.
Cameras
The setup of the rear view camera includes a 12-megapixel main shooter with a wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and two 2-megapixel units for depth detection and macro photography. The camera can record 1080p video with 60 FPS and improved stabilization thanks to the ultra steady mode.
The 8MP selfie camera has an AI Beauty mode to adjust skin tones with different backgrounds and lighting conditions.
Battery and Pricing
The battery compartment contains a massive 5,000 mAh current cell with 18 W quick charge, with which the device can be charged from 0 to 100% in more than 2 hours.
There is no word yet on the availability of the Oppo A52, but it will be available for sale for $ 225.
