However, at the close of trading, the dollar lost 29 paise to close at Rs 176.46 on the Interbank Foreign Exchange market, while the dollar lost one rupee to close at Rs 178.50 in the open currency market.
It should be noted that after receiving Saudi funds, the government’s foreign exchange reserves exceeded 19 19 billion, which will be enough to pay the two-and-a-half month import bill.

کاروبار کے آغاز پر ایک موقع پر انٹربینک مارکیٹ میں ڈالر 19 پیسے مہنگا ہو کر 176.95 روپے پر پہنچ گیا تاہم طلب میں کمی کے باعث کچھ ہی دیر بعد ڈالر کی قدر میں کمی ہوئی۔ 176.14۔
تاہم کاروبار کے اختتام پر انٹربینک فارن ایکسچینج مارکیٹ میں ڈالر کی قدر 29 پیسے کم ہوکر 176.46 روپے پر بند ہوئی جبکہ اوپن کرنسی مارکیٹ میں ڈالر ایک روپے کی کمی سے 178.50 روپے پر بند ہوا۔
واضح رہے کہ سعودی فنڈز ملنے کے بعد حکومت کے زرمبادلہ کے ذخائر 19 ارب ڈالر سے تجاوز کر گئے جو ڈھائی ماہ کے درآمدی بل کی ادائیگی کے لیے کافی ہوں گے۔
