پی ٹی آئی حکومت کی کرپشن کو چھپانے کے لیے نیب قانون میں ترمیم کی گئی: شاہد خاقان عباسی
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi alleged on Thursday that the amended National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) was designed to cover up embezzlement of the current government.
Addressing the media, Abbasi said the powers of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have been curtailed under the amended ordinance. He claimed that the anti-corruption watchdog can no longer question the appointment of corrupt people in institutions.
“After the amendment, the accountability watchdog will no longer be able to inquire about tax evasion and asset concealment. It will also no longer be able to question the 700 people named in the Pandora Papers.”
The former prime minister claimed the amendment barred the NAB from investigating scandals over rising drug and oil prices, imports of the world’s most expensive LNG, and ministerial robberies.
Calling the ordinance “malicious” and a “black law”, he accused the bureau of preventing it from questioning the embezzlement of billions in the wheat and sugar crisis, nor decisions of the federal cabinet. Can check.
Meanwhile, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal criticized the government for not consulting the opposition before the launch of NAO 2021.
سابق وزیراعظم شاہد خاقان عباسی نے جمعرات کو الزام لگایا کہ ترمیم شدہ قومی احتساب آرڈیننس (این اے او) موجودہ حکومت کے غبن کو چھپانے کے لیے بنایا گیا ہے۔
میڈیا سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے عباسی نے کہا کہ ترمیم شدہ آرڈیننس کے تحت قومی احتساب بیورو (نیب) کے اختیارات میں کمی کی گئی ہے۔ انہوں نے دعویٰ کیا کہ اینٹی کرپشن واچ ڈاگ اب اداروں میں کرپٹ لوگوں کی تقرری پر سوال نہیں اٹھا سکتا۔
“ترمیم کے بعد ، احتساب واچ ڈاگ اب ٹیکس چوری اور اثاثے چھپانے کے بارے میں پوچھ گچھ نہیں کر سکے گا۔ اب وہ پنڈورا پیپرز میں نامزد 700 افراد سے بھی پوچھ گچھ نہیں کر سکے گا۔”
سابق وزیراعظم نے دعویٰ کیا کہ ترمیم نے نیب کو ادویات اور تیل کی بڑھتی قیمتوں ، دنیا کی مہنگی ترین ایل این جی کی درآمد اور وزارتی ڈکیتیوں پر اسکینڈلز کی تحقیقات سے روک دیا۔
انہوں نے آرڈیننس کو “بدنیتی پر مبنی” اور “کالا قانون” قرار دیتے ہوئے بیورو پر الزام عائد کیا کہ وہ گندم اور چینی کے بحران میں اربوں کے غبن پر سوال اٹھانے سے روک رہا ہے اور نہ ہی وفاقی کابینہ کے فیصلوں پر۔ چیک کر سکتے ہیں۔
دریں اثنا ، مسلم لیگ (ن) کے رہنما احسن اقبال نے این اے او 2021 کے آغاز سے قبل اپوزیشن سے مشاورت نہ کرنے پر حکومت کو تنقید کا نشانہ بنایا۔
