The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched an investigation into corruption of Rs 756 million in National Drainage Program schemes against the officers of the Public Health Engineering Department.
According to the preliminary investigation, most of these projects were awarded to preferred contractors, while nine contracts were awarded to the company of a close relative of the federal minister.

ابتدائی تحقیقات سے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ پروگرام کے تحت 25 سکیموں میں سے زیادہ تر ہاتھ سے منتخب کردہ نیلی آنکھوں والے ٹھیکیداروں کو 190 فیصد کی شرح سے کوڈل رسمیات کی خلاف ورزی پر دیا گیا۔
“ٹھیکیداروں نے مزید 145 فیصد کی شرح سے پروجیکٹ فراہم کیے اور 45 فیصد جیب میں ڈالے۔ کچھ منصوبے زمین پر مکمل نہیں ہوئے۔ تمام اسکیموں کا ریکارڈ تفتیش کے لیے ضبط کر لیا گیا ہے۔ وفاقی وزیر کے قریبی رشتہ دار کی کمپنی کے حوالے کیا گیا۔ ختم ہو گیا۔ کم از کم نو سکیمیں۔
اس نے یہ بھی کہا کہ ٹھیکیداروں نے مبینہ طور پر غیر معیاری کام کیا اور اس کے نتیجے میں قومی خزانے پر بوجھ پڑا۔
