The highway police have released a list of SOPs that require passenger transportation services on the highway to follow all normal operating procedures.
According to the information on the national motorways, motorways can transport vehicles for inter- and intra-city journeys from May 22 (today).
The Motorway police said the provincial governments in each area should ensure that all SOPs are followed and kept in word and spirit.
According to SOPs, transport vehicles must be filled up to 50% of their capacity and an appropriate distance between passengers in the vehicle must be maintained.
Disinfection gates should be installed at terminals and all passengers must go through them before boarding their vehicle.
It has also been added to the list of SOPs that carriers and provincial governments maintain a database of regular disinfections that are performed on every vehicle at regular intervals.
The highway police have also instructed officials to issue certificates for vehicles that pass all health and safety checks before being allowed on the road.

موٹر وے پولیس نے کہا کہ ، متعلقہ علاقوں کی صوبائی حکومتوں کو یہ یقینی بنانا ہے کہ تمام ایس او پیز کی خط اور روح کی پاسداری کی جارہی ہے۔
ایس او پیز کے مطابق نقل و حمل کی گاڑیاں اپنی صلاحیت کا 50٪ تک پُر کریں اور گاڑی کے اندر مسافروں میں مناسب فاصلہ دیکھا جائے۔
ایس او پیز کی فہرست میں یہ بھی شامل کیا گیا ہے کہ ٹرانسپورٹرز اور صوبائی حکومتیں باقاعدگی سے وقفوں سے ہر گاڑی پر باقاعدگی سے ڈس انفیکشن کا ایک ڈیٹا بیس بنائیں۔
موٹر وے پولیس نے متعلقہ عہدیداروں کو بھی ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ سڑک پر جانے سے قبل صحت اور حفاظت کے تمام امتحانات پاس کرنے والی گاڑیوں کو سرٹیفکیٹ جاری کریں۔
