اسلام آباد میں رواں سیزن میں ڈینگی کے 4000 سے زائد کیسز رپورٹ ہوئے
More than 4,000 cases of dengue virus have been reported in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) during the current season, District Health Officer DHO Islamabad said at a meeting of the Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination on Wednesday.
The DHO Islamabad briefed the committee headed by Khalid Hussain Magsi about the campaign launched by the federal government to eradicate dengue virus in ICT. He said that more than 4000 cases of dengue virus have been reported in ICT out of which more than 97% cases have been resolved by DHO.
He said that a door-to-door surveillance campaign has been launched at the level of Union Council to create awareness among the people regarding precautionary measures and eradication of dengue larvae.
The committee directed the Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) to ensure availability of life-saving drugs in the market. The committee also instructed DRAP that for the convenience of patients, doctors should prescribe a generic formula instead of the name of the medicine in their prescriptions.
The committee further directed the management of DRAP to provide full details of the increase in drug prices during the last three years.

اسلام آباد کیپٹل ٹیریٹری (آئی سی ٹی) میں رواں سیزن کے دوران ڈینگی وائرس کے 4,000 سے زائد کیسز رپورٹ ہوئے ہیں، یہ بات ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفیسر ڈی ایچ او اسلام آباد نے بدھ کو قائمہ کمیٹی برائے نیشنل ہیلتھ سروسز، ریگولیشنز اینڈ کوآرڈینیشن کے اجلاس میں بتائی۔
ڈی ایچ او اسلام آباد نے خالد حسین مگسی کی سربراہی میں قائم کمیٹی کو وفاقی حکومت کی جانب سے آئی سی ٹی میں ڈینگی وائرس کے خاتمے کے لیے شروع کی گئی مہم کے بارے میں بریفنگ دی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آئی سی ٹی میں ڈینگی وائرس کے 4000 سے زائد کیسز رپورٹ ہوئے ہیں جن میں سے 97 فیصد سے زائد کیسز ڈی ایچ او نے حل کر لیے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ عوام میں احتیاطی تدابیر اور ڈینگی لاروا کے خاتمے کے حوالے سے آگاہی پیدا کرنے کے لیے یونین کونسل کی سطح پر ڈور ٹو ڈور سرویلنس مہم شروع کی گئی ہے۔
کمیٹی نے ڈرگ ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ مارکیٹ میں جان بچانے والی ادویات کی دستیابی کو یقینی بنائے۔ کمیٹی نے ڈریپ کو یہ بھی ہدایت کی کہ مریضوں کی سہولت کے لیے ڈاکٹرز اپنے نسخوں میں دوائی کے نام کی بجائے جنرک فارمولہ لکھیں۔
کمیٹی نے ڈریپ کی انتظامیہ کو مزید ہدایت کی کہ وہ گزشتہ تین سالوں کے دوران ادویات کی قیمتوں میں ہونے والے اضافے کی مکمل تفصیلات فراہم کرے۔
