The Supreme Court heard the case of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dam in which the Chief Justice remarked that there would be no injustice to anyone in the dam. The land issue of Usman Khel and Burhan Khel is going on. To which WAPDA officials replied that the contractor has started his work for the construction of Mahand Dam, there are 32 families and we do not need that land yet, in the first phase we have got the land we needed.
The Supreme Court sought details from the SBP on the amount coming into the Dams Fund from abroad. SBP officials told the court that if the dam fund was invested in the stock exchange, there would be a risk with higher profits. The court said that any Pakistani wants to send money from a place where there is no Pakistani bank, to which the bank officials said that letters have been written to the embassies regarding the deposit in the dam fund. Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that what will happen after writing a letter, talk to someone on the phone, in which case the concerned embassies should know about the transfer of funds to Pakistan.
Asked about the status of construction on Mohmand Dam, the Additional Attorney General told the court that approval for Mohmand Dam was pending with the CDWP, to which the Chief Justice said that the contract for Diamer Bhasha Dam had already been signed. It has been given, when will the construction of Bhasha Dam be completed. WAPDA’s lawyer told the court that work on Diamer Bhasha Dam has started and work on Mohmand Dam is continuing as per schedule. Chairman WAPDA said that the first unit of Mohmand Dam will be operational in 2024, all the three units of Mohmand Dam will be completed in July 2025, Bhasha Dam will be completed in July 2028. The case was later adjourned for six months.

سپریم کورٹ نے بیرون ملک سے ڈیمز فنڈ میں آنے والی رقم سے متعلق اسٹیٹ بینک سے تفصیلات طلب کیں۔ اسٹیٹ بینک کے عہدیداروں نے عدالت کو بتایا کہ اگر ڈیم فنڈ اسٹاک ایکسچینج میں لگایا گیا تو زیادہ منافع ہونے کے ساتھ خطرہ بھی ہوگا۔ عدالت نے کہا کہ کوئی بھی پاکستانی ایسی جگہ سے رقم بھیجنا چاہتا ہے جہاں پاکستانی بینک نہ ہو ، جس پر بینک حکام نے بتایا کہ ڈیم فنڈ میں رقم جمع کروانے سے متعلق سفارتخانوں کو خطوط لکھے گئے ہیں۔ جسٹس اعجاز الاحسن نے کہا کہ خط لکھنے کے بعد کیا ہوگا ، کسی سے فون پر بات کریں ، ایسی صورت میں متعلقہ سفارت خانوں کو پاکستان میں رقوم کی منتقلی کے بارے میں معلوم ہونا چاہئے۔
مہمند ڈیم پر تعمیر کی حیثیت کے بارے میں پوچھے جانے پر ، ایڈیشنل اٹارنی جنرل نے عدالت کو بتایا کہ مہمند ڈیم کی منظوری سی ڈی ڈبلیو پی کے پاس زیرالتوا ہے ، جس پر چیف جسٹس نے کہا کہ دیامر بھاشا ڈیم کے معاہدے پر پہلے ہی دستخط ہوچکے ہیں۔ ، بھاشا ڈیم کی تعمیر کب ہوگی۔ واپڈا کے وکیل نے عدالت کو بتایا کہ دیامر بھاشا ڈیم پر کام شروع ہوچکا ہے اور مہمند ڈیم پر شیڈول کے مطابق کام جاری ہے۔ چیئرمین واپڈا نے بتایا کہ مہمند ڈیم کا پہلا یونٹ 2024 میں کام کرے گا ، مہمند ڈیم کے تینوں یونٹ جولائی 2025 میں مکمل ہوں گے ، بھاشا ڈیم جولائی 2028 میں مکمل ہو گا۔ بعد ازاں کیس کی سماعت چھ ماہ کے لئے ملتوی کردی گئی۔
