نومبر میں مہنگائی 21 ماہ کی بلند ترین سطح پر پہنچ گئی۔
Inflation is reaching new heights during the PTI regime and reached a 21-month high in November.
Due to the administrative decisions of the government and the falling value of the rupee, everything including food and electricity is becoming out of reach of the common man. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the inflation rate recorded in November was 11.5% which is the highest in 21 months.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) stood at 3%, the highest in 13 and a half years. Similarly, the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) reached 27% last month, indicating that prices will continue to rise in the coming months. The latest figures show that the government has lost control over commodity prices.
Finance Advisor Shaukat Tareen and Planning Minister Asad Umar had announced that taxes would be reduced to Rs 45 per kg for coking oil and ghee. Contrary to his announcement, edible oil and ghee have become more expensive and have reached Rs 400 per kg.
With the rapid depreciation of the rupee, inflation has reached an all-time high. On May 3, the US dollar was valued at Rs 153.36 which rose to 176 in just six months. This devaluation of the rupee is driving up the prices of all imported commodities, including wheat, sugar, coking oil, crude oil and raw materials.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, in November, ghee became costlier by 58%, cooking oil by 54%, meat by 20%, flour by 19%, milk by 12% and vegetables by 11%. Electricity, gas and oil prices rose 15%.

حکومت کے انتظامی فیصلوں اور روپے کی گرتی ہوئی قدر کے باعث خوراک اور بجلی سمیت ہر چیز عام آدمی کی پہنچ سے دور ہوتی جا رہی ہے۔ پاکستان بیورو آف شماریات کے مطابق نومبر میں مہنگائی کی شرح 11.5 فیصد ریکارڈ کی گئی جو 21 ماہ کی بلند ترین سطح ہے۔
کنزیومر پرائس انڈیکس (سی پی آئی) 3 فیصد رہا، جو ساڑھے 13 سالوں میں سب سے زیادہ ہے۔ اسی طرح، ہول سیل پرائس انڈیکس پچھلے مہینے 27% تک پہنچ گیا، جو اس بات کی نشاندہی کرتا ہے کہ آنے والے مہینوں میں قیمتوں میں اضافہ جاری رہے گا۔ تازہ ترین اعداد و شمار بتاتے ہیں کہ حکومت اشیاء کی قیمتوں پر کنٹرول کھو چکی ہے۔
مشیر خزانہ شوکت ترین اور وزیر منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر نے کوکنگ آئل اور گھی پر ٹیکس کم کرکے 45 روپے فی کلو کرنے کا اعلان کیا تھا۔ ان کے اعلان کے برعکس خوردنی تیل اور گھی مزید مہنگا ہو کر 400 روپے فی کلو تک پہنچ گیا ہے۔
روپے کی قدر میں تیزی سے کمی سے مہنگائی تاریخ کی بلند ترین سطح پر پہنچ گئی ہے۔ 3 مئی کو امریکی ڈالر کی قیمت 153.36 روپے تھی جو صرف چھ ماہ میں بڑھ کر 176 ہو گئی۔ روپے کی قدر میں کمی سے تمام درآمدی اشیاء کی قیمتیں بڑھ رہی ہیں جن میں گندم، چینی، کوکنگ آئل، خام تیل اور خام مال شامل ہیں۔
پاکستان بیورو آف شماریات کے مطابق نومبر میں گھی 58 فیصد، کوکنگ آئل 54 فیصد، گوشت 20 فیصد، آٹا 19 فیصد، دودھ 12 فیصد اور سبزیاں 11 فیصد مہنگی ہو گئیں۔ بجلی، گیس اور تیل کی قیمتوں میں 15 فیصد اضافہ ہوا۔
