The government announced on Thursday that it would cut gasoline prices by 15 rupees in May. Now the price of petrol has been reduced to 81.58 rupees due to a sharp drop in crude oil prices on the international market.
The rate of the high speed diesel was reduced from Rs 27.15 to Rs 80.10. According to the announcement, kerosene oil and light diesel are now sold at Rs 47.44 and Rs 47.51 after their prices have been reduced by Rs 30.01 and Rs 15, respectively.
It should be noted that the Oil and Gas Authority (Ogra) recommended on Wednesday that the government cut the price of diesel by Rs 33.94 per liter (or 31.6%) and the price of gasoline by Rs 20.68 /. Liters (21.4%), kerosene oil to Rs44.07 / liter (56.9%) and light diesel oil (LDO) to Rs24.57 / liter (39.3%).

ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل کی شرح 27.15 روپے سے گھٹ کر 80.10 روپے کردی گئی ہے۔ نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق مٹی کا تیل اور لائٹ ڈیزل ان کی قیمتوں میں بالترتیب 30.01 اور 15 روپے کی کمی کے بعد 47.44 اور 47.51 روپے میں فروخت ہوگا۔
یہاں یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ بدھ کے روز آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (اوگرا) نے حکومت کو سفارش کی تھی کہ ڈیزل کی قیمت میں فی لیٹر 33.94 روپے (یا 31.6٪) کمی ہوسکتی ہے ، پیٹرول میں 20.68 روپے / لیٹر (21.4٪) ، مٹی کے تیل کا تیل 44.07 / لیٹر (56.9٪) اور لائٹ ڈیزل آئل (ایل ڈی او) 24.57 / لیٹر (39.3٪) کی کمی سے ہے۔
