Minister of Industry and Production, Hammad Azhar, said at a press conference in Islamabad that the Economic Coordinating Committee (ECC) approved a small business package on Monday after which the government would pay electricity costs to small businesses across Pakistan for three months.
According to Azhar, small businesses with a commercial link of less than five kilowatts and industrial consumers of less than 70 kilowatts can benefit from this initiative, where the government will pay utility bills for May and June. and July.
He said 95 percent of commercial and 80 percent of industrial connection owners would benefit from this facility. He also emphasized that around 3.5 million people run small businesses, i. H. Tailoring, small markets and industrial plants, will benefit from this initiative.

انہوں نے کہا کہ اس سہولت سے 95 فیصد تجارتی اور 80 فیصد صنعتی کنکشن ہولڈرز مستفید ہوں گے۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی روشنی ڈالی کہ چھوٹے کاروبار ، یعنی درزی کی دکانیں ، چھوٹی منڈیاں اور صنعتی یونٹ چلانے والے تقریبا 35 لاکھ افراد اس اقدام سے فائدہ اٹھائیں گے۔
