حکومت نے مشہور اداکار عمر شریف کے علاج کے لیے میڈیکل بورڈ تشکیل دیا
On the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, a medical board has been constituted for the treatment of famous actor Omar Sharif.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry wile Speaking to the media after Omar Sharif’s visit to Aga Khan Hospital in Sindh capital Karachi, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that he had come to meet the actor on the instructions of the Prime Minister.
He said that Omar Sharif also underwent dialysis at the hospital on September 11 and for his treatment a medical board has been constituted under the chairmanship of Dr Faisal Sultan, the health advisor to the prime minister, which will decide on the actor’s treatment.
He made it clear that all the expenses and arrangements for the treatment of Omar Sharif will be done by Prime Minister Imran Khan and the government.
He termed Omar Sharif as an asset of the country and the nation and said that the actor had played a key role in raising funds for Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Shaukat Khanum Hospital in the past.
The Sindh governor also said that he would talk to the federal government about activating the mythological trust institute by allocating funds for the welfare of great actors.
Fawad said that on the instructions of the Prime Minister, a medical board headed by Dr Faisal Sultan and Omar Sharif’s Dr Yawar has been constituted and it will decide on the actor’s treatment.
He confirmed that whatever decision the medical board takes, the government will implement it and no stone will be left unturned in the treatment of Omar Sharif.
The Federal Information Minister said that treatment of heart disease is also possible in Pakistan but the decision taken by the medical board will be implemented.
Responding to a question, he said there is no problem for the government to issue visas abroad or provide air ambulances, but the medical board will first examine whether Omar Sharif is in a position to travel abroad.
According to Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, whatever the medical board decides, considering Omar Sharif’s health, condition and ability to travel abroad, it will be implemented.
Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail reiterated that the government would send Omar Sharif to countries other than the US and Germany for treatment, including providing air ambulances on the recommendations of the medical board.

سندھ کے گورنر عمران اسماعیل اور وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات فواد چوہدری نے عمر شریف کے سندھ کے دارالحکومت کراچی کے آغا خان اسپتال کے دورے کے بعد میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ گورنر سندھ عمران اسماعیل نے کہا کہ وہ وزیر اعظم کی ہدایات پر اداکار سے ملنے آئے تھے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ عمر شریف نے 11 ستمبر کو ہسپتال میں ڈائلیسس بھی کرایا اور ان کے علاج کے لیے وزیر اعظم کے مشیر صحت ڈاکٹر فیصل سلطان کی سربراہی میں ایک میڈیکل بورڈ تشکیل دیا گیا ہے ، جو اداکار کے علاج کا فیصلہ کرے گا۔
انہوں نے واضح کیا کہ عمر شریف کے علاج کے تمام اخراجات اور انتظامات وزیراعظم عمران خان اور حکومت کرے گی۔
انہوں نے عمر شریف کو ملک و قوم کا اثاثہ قرار دیا اور کہا کہ اداکار نے ماضی میں وزیراعظم عمران خان کے شوکت خانم ہسپتال کے لیے فنڈ جمع کرنے میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا تھا۔
گورنر سندھ نے یہ بھی کہا کہ وہ وفاقی حکومت سے عظیم اداکاروں کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے فنڈز مختص کرکے میتھولوجیکل ٹرسٹ انسٹی ٹیوٹ کو فعال کرنے کے بارے میں بات کریں گے۔
فواد نے کہا کہ وزیراعظم کی ہدایات پر ڈاکٹر فیصل سلطان اور عمر شریف کے ڈاکٹر یاور کی سربراہی میں میڈیکل بورڈ تشکیل دیا گیا ہے اور یہ اداکار کے علاج کے بارے میں فیصلہ کرے گا۔
انہوں نے تصدیق کی کہ میڈیکل بورڈ جو بھی فیصلہ کرے گا حکومت اس پر عمل کرے گی اور عمر شریف کے علاج میں کوئی کسر نہیں چھوڑی جائے گی۔
وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات نے کہا کہ دل کی بیماری کا علاج پاکستان میں بھی ممکن ہے لیکن میڈیکل بورڈ کی طرف سے لیا گیا فیصلہ نافذ کیا جائے گا۔
ایک سوال کے جواب میں انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت کے لیے بیرون ملک ویزے جاری کرنے یا ایئر ایمبولینس فراہم کرنے میں کوئی مسئلہ نہیں ہے ، لیکن میڈیکل بورڈ پہلے جانچ کرے گا کہ عمر شریف بیرون ملک سفر کرنے کی پوزیشن میں ہیں یا نہیں۔
چوہدری فواد حسین کے مطابق عمر شریف کی صحت ، حالت اور بیرون ملک سفر کی صلاحیت کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے میڈیکل بورڈ جو بھی فیصلہ کرے گا ، اس پر عمل درآمد کیا جائے گا۔
دریں اثنا ، گورنر سندھ عمران اسماعیل نے اس بات کا اعادہ کیا کہ حکومت عمر شریف کو امریکہ اور جرمنی کے علاوہ دیگر ممالک میں علاج کے لیے بھیجے گی ، بشمول میڈیکل بورڈ کی سفارشات پر ایئر ایمبولینس کی فراہمی۔
