The federal cabinet has approved the manufacturing policy for mobile devices in the country for the first time.
The manufacturing guidelines for mobile devices have been approved by the Federal Cabinet, which was drawn up in accordance with the declaration by the Ministry of Industry and Production in consultation with the relevant interest groups and the Engineering Development Board.
Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Federal Minister of Industry and Production, congratulated his team, the Ministries of Trade and Planning, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and other departments concerned on approving the directive.
The legislation will help officials stop cell phone smuggling in the country and create opportunities for local engineers and the location of cell phone parts.
