ایف بی آر جلد ہی سیلز ٹیکس پورٹل متعارف کرائے گا
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has developed a sales tax portal to ensure the convenience of taxpayers and ease of doing business.
This watershed development is the result of various rounds of talks between the FBR and the provincial revenue authorities. The FBR has already introduced this portal for provincial revenue officers to facilitate the taxpayers through the single link facility. The portal is in the final stages of testing and is expected to be launched by the last week of October 2021.
It is noteworthy that till now, sales tax registrars had to submit their sales tax returns separately every month, such as FBR, Sindh Revenue Board, Punjab Revenue Authority, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority, and Balochistan Revenue Authority.
Some taxpayers had to file returns with the revenue authorities of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. It was a difficult task, often leading to complications and disputes over jurisdiction.
The single sales tax portal will also help in simplifying the tax procedure. This will enable taxpayers to save time and effort and reduce their compliance costs. By reducing data entry, the new portal also resolves data and calculation errors. The system will automatically make tax adjustments as well as distribute tax payments to the sales tax authorities. Through this system, officers of all revenue authorities will be able to make better informed decisions on sales tax matters.

یہ واٹرشیڈ ڈویلپمنٹ ایف بی آر اور صوبائی ریونیو اتھارٹیز کے درمیان مذاکرات کے مختلف دوروں کا نتیجہ ہے۔ سنگل لنک کی سہولت کے ذریعے ٹیکس دہندگان کی سہولت کے لیے ایف بی آر نے پہلے ہی صوبائی ریونیو افسران کے لیے یہ پورٹل متعارف کرایا ہے۔ پورٹل ٹیسٹنگ کے آخری مراحل میں ہے اور توقع ہے کہ اکتوبر 2021 کے آخری ہفتے تک اس کا آغاز کیا جائے گا۔
قابل ذکر بات یہ ہے کہ اب تک سیلز ٹیکس رجسٹراروں کو ہر ماہ علیحدہ علیحدہ اپنے سیلز ٹیکس گوشوارے جمع کرانے ہوتے تھے ، جیسے ایف بی آر ، سندھ ریونیو بورڈ ، پنجاب ریونیو اتھارٹی ، خیبر پختونخوا ریونیو اتھارٹی ، اور بلوچستان ریونیو اتھارٹی۔
