According to the tax authority official, the official who worked on the seventh floor of the FBR tax office in Islamabad tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the report of an officer infected with the virus spread, the authorities cleared the building.
It was also decided to run a disinfectant spray in the office before reopening.
14 members of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) who work at the regional tax office in Quetta had previously tested positive for coronavirus. The regional tax office (RTO) in Quetta was closed after the virus cases emerged from the office.
