ای سی پی انتخابی فہرستوں میں 30 لاکھ سے زیادہ اہل شہریوں کو شامل کرے گا
الیکشن کمیشن آف پاکستان (ای سی پی) نے انتخابی فہرستوں میں 30 لاکھ سے زائد اہل شہریوں کو شامل کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق نیشنل ڈیٹا بیس اینڈ رجسٹریشن اتھارٹی (نادرا) کو اس سلسلے میں ہدایات دی گئی ہیں تاکہ آئندہ بلدیاتی انتخابات میں تمام اہل افراد ووٹ ڈال سکیں۔ الیکشن کمیشن نے حتمی انتخابی فہرستوں کی طباعت میں اٹھارہ دن کی توسیع کردی ہے۔
ذرائع بتایا ہے کہ چیف الیکشن کمشنر (سی ای سی) سکندر سلطان راجہ نے ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کی اور 16 ستمبر کی بجائے 4 اکتوبر کو حتمی فہرستیں شائع کرنے کی منظوری دی۔
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to include more than 3 million eligible citizens in the electoral rolls.
According to details, instructions have been issued to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in this regard so that all eligible persons can vote in the upcoming local body elections. The Election Commission has extended the printing of final electoral rolls by 18 days.
Sources told that Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja chaired a meeting and approved the publication of the final lists on October 4 instead of September 16.
