Riyadh: From May 31, all mosques in Saudi Arabia will be open for Friday and five daily congregational prayers.
According to a foreign news agency, a senior Saudi Interior Ministry official said the decision to relax government measures to deal with the corona virus was based on recommendations from health officials in the kingdom.
According to the Saudi News Agency, the curfew will be relaxed in all parts of the kingdom except Makkah from May 31 to June 20, from 6 am to 8 pm. In all mosques, Friday prayers and congregational prayers will be offered at five o’clock with precautionary and safety measures, while Friday prayers and congregational prayers will continue in the Masjid Haram according to medical and precautionary measures.
Attendance at ministry offices, government authorities and private sector companies will be banned, official activities will be allowed in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by the Ministry of Social Welfare, travel between provinces through various means of transportation will be allowed. The ban and ban on domestic flights will be lifted, restaurants and cafes will be allowed to open, while all such activities will remain banned, but the prescribed precautions and safety measures will have to be followed.
From June 21, 2020, curfew measures will be resumed in all provinces and cities of the country except Mecca. However, safety medical guidelines and social distance will be required, while regarding Makkah Mukarramah, May 31. The decision will be made after examining the process from June 20, 2020.
