In China, German pharmaceutical company Biotech has launched human clinical trials for a possible Covid-19 vaccine developed in collaboration with Chinese company Fosen Pharma.
Biotech and Fosen Pharma said in a statement that better participants had received their first dose only after Chinese regulators approved the first round of trials.
One of the four vaccines based on MRNA technology developed by Biotech, known as 162b1 TWT. Another vaccine, BNT 162b2, is being tested in the third phase of the global initiative by Biotech and US giant Pfizer, which began on July 27.
