A pregnant COVID-19 positive patient gave birth to a child last night at Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital (DRPCHK).
Doctors in the hospital’s gynecological department have given birth after a successful cesarean section, according to information.
The medical superintendent of the civilian hospital subsequently informed the media about the status of mother and child, saying that both were in good health and stable.
All employees present in the work room at the time of delivery and the doctor who performed the procedure are tested for COVID-19 as a precaution.
