Federal information minister Shibli Faraz said at a press conference in Islamabad on Friday that Prime Minister Imran Khan had taken the initiative to make the construction sector operational to provide workers with benefits that are considered the backbone of the country.
SAPM Faraz said the prime minister is concerned about the well-being of daily workers in the event of a total blockade of the country. “The government has given rupees 12,000 rupees while maintaining their self-esteem,” added that incentives have been given to industry, while the government has opened the construction sector despite criticism.
He said the nation was facing an unprecedented challenge in the form of Covid-19, and a collective response was needed to deal with it. He added that it was a national problem and could not be solved on a provincial basis. He mentioned that both the federal government and the Sindh government are on the same page as the situation develops.
When asked about the situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir, the information minister said the government had effectively highlighted the ongoing dispute in world forums, including the United Nations.

وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات شبلی فراز نے جمعہ کے روز اسلام آباد میں ایک پریس کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے ملک کی ریڑھ کی ہڈی سمجھے جانے والے مزدوروں کو فائدہ پہنچانے کے لئے تعمیراتی شعبے کو چلانے کے لئے پہل کی۔
ایس اے پی ایم فراز نے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم کو ملک میں مکمل طور پر لاک ڈاؤن لگانے کی صورت میں روزانہ کمانے والوں کی فلاح و بہبود پر تشویش ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ حکومت نے مزدوروں کو اپنی عزت نفس کا تحفظ کرنے کے لیے 12 ہزارروپے فراہم کیے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ قوم کوویڈ ۔19 کی شکل میں ایک بے مثال چیلنج کا سامنا کر رہی ہے اور اس کا مقابلہ کرنے کے لئے اجتماعی ردعمل کی ضرورت ہے ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یہ ایک قومی مسئلہ ہے اور اسے صوبائی بنیاد پر حل نہیں کیا جاسکتا ، انہوں نے ذکر کیا کہ وفاق اور سندھ دونوں حکومت اسی صفحے پر ہے جیسے ہی صورتحال تیار ہوتی جارہی ہے۔
وزیر اطلاعات سے جب ہندوستانی مقبوضہ کشمیر کی صورتحال کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت نے اقوام متحدہ سمیت عالمی فورمز میں جاری تنازعہ کو مؤثر طریقے سے اجاگر کیا ہے۔
