Chinese scientists have developed a test that can diagnose covid 19 in 10 minutes.
Experts from Peking University’s College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering developed the test to diagnose code 19 by breathing.
This test will be helpful for those who are afraid of the PR test, ie the method of collecting samples from the throat or nostrils, while it will also save time.
For this test, an individual will have to exhale for 30 seconds in a bag, while 5 to 10 minutes will be required to complete the analysis.
Experts say the test is highly authoritative and has the potential to differentiate between COVID 19 patients, healthy people and people with other respiratory diseases.
The study included 74 patients with code 19, 30 people with other respiratory diseases and 87 healthy people.
There are 12 types of compounds or VOCs associated with inhalation which are termed as ‘fingerprint’.
According to experts, people suffering from COD-19 and other respiratory diseases have high levels of propanol in their breath, while COD patients have lower levels of respiratory acetone than those suffering from other diseases.
Based on 12 compounds, the researchers developed an algorithm and according to the experts, the effectiveness of the test was found to be 91 to 100 percent.
He said that no component or mixture is required for this new technology and this test is also cheap.
It costs 10 yuan, while the PCR test in China costs 80 yuan.
He claimed that the test could detect code 19 in individuals whose PCR test was negative, while in patients without symptoms and in patients with pre-symptom stage, the disease could be diagnosed early.
He said the test could be used in a number of scenarios, such as the Beijing Winter Olympics.
But he also acknowledged that the number of code cases in China is not high and that more data will be needed to use the technology on a commercial basis.

انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ ٹیسٹ بیجنگ سرمائی اولمپکس جیسے متعدد منظرناموں میں استعمال کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
لیکن اس نے یہ بھی تسلیم کیا کہ چین میں کوڈ کیسز کی تعداد زیادہ نہیں ہے اور تجارتی بنیادوں پر ٹیکنالوجی کو استعمال کرنے کے لیے مزید ڈیٹا کی ضرورت ہوگی۔
