China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, speaking to incumbent Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar on the phone, said China wants more than anyone else a harmonious relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan and will contribute to all efforts that improve mutual relations, trust and relationships between the two sides.
According to a statement by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs here on Tuesday, Mohammad Hanif Atmar said that China is ready to engage in a dialogue between Foreign Ministers China, Afghanistan and Pakistan in due course to promote cooperation between the three countries.
Atmar emphasized that the Afghan government is committed to the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan and has formulated plans for a comprehensive ceasefire and the opening of intra-Afghan negotiations.
He said Afghanistan was also determined to promote tripartite cooperation with China and Pakistan and hoped that China would continue to help Afghanistan improve its relations with Pakistan.
Wang Yi expressed support for the Afghan government’s positive proposals for peace and reconciliation and hoped that all parties would remain confident and patient for a quick political solution. He added that “Afghanistan’s future political arrangements should include broad representation, a strong determination to fight all kinds of terrorism, and a firm commitment to a foreign policy of peace and friendship.”
China’s foreign minister said that China, as a neighbor and friend of Afghanistan, respects the Afghan people’s choice for their own development path and is ready to continue to support, mediate and facilitate the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan and to act more constructively. Added that “China, as a neighbor and a strategic and cooperative partner of Afghanistan, was never absent when Afghanistan was in need and always helps without hesitation.”
He said China will continue to take good care of Afghan nationals in China and hope that the Afghan government will also ensure the safety and health of Chinese nationals in Afghanistan.
Wang Yi said, “On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China will work with Afghanistan to deepen belt-road cooperation and other areas for the benefit of the countries and peoples.”
Atmar welcomed China’s effective response to Covid-19 and thanked China for providing a large number of medical supplies and sharing experiences.
He said the Afghan side would do its utmost to ensure the security of Chinese nationals in Afghanistan, adding, “The Belt and Road initiative, warmly welcomed and actively involved by Afghanistan, has benefited both countries and the region as a whole . ” Afghanistan has committed to working with China to promote belt-to-road cooperation and to take the strategic and cooperative partnership between the two sides to a new level.

چین کے ریاستی کونسلر اور وزیر خارجہ وانگ یی نے افغان قائم مقام وزیر خارجہ محمد حنیف اتمر سے ٹیلیفون پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ چین ، کسی سے بھی زیادہ ، پاکستان اور افغانستان کے مابین ایک باہمی تعلقات کو دیکھنا چاہتا ہے اور کسی بھی کوشش میں حصہ ڈالے گا جس سے باہمی بہتری میں اہم کردار ادا ہوگا۔
چینی وزارت خارجہ کی جانب سے جاری ایک بیان کے مطابق ، محمد حنیف اتمر نے کہا کہ چین تینوں ممالک کے مابین تعاون کو آگے بڑھانے کے لئے مناسب وقت پر چین – افغانستان – پاکستان کے وزرائے خارجہ کی بات چیت پر راضی ہے۔
اتمر نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ افغان حکومت افغانستان میں امن اور مفاہمت کے عمل کے لئے مضبوطی سے پرعزم ہے ، اور جامع جنگ بندی اور انٹرا افغان مذاکرات کے آغاز کے لئے منصوبے مرتب کر رہی ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ افغانستان چین اور پاکستان کے ساتھ سہ فریقی تعاون کو فروغ دینے کے لئے بھی پرعزم ہے اور امید ہے کہ چین پاکستان کے ساتھ اپنے تعلقات کو بہتر بنانے میں افغانستان کی مدد جاری رکھے گا۔
وانگ یی نے امن اور مفاہمت کے لئے افغان حکومت کی مثبت تجاویز کی حمایت کا اظہار کیا اور امید ظاہر کی کہ تمام جماعتیں جلد سیاسی حل کے لئے پراعتماد اور صبر آزما رہیں گی۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ “افغانستان کے مستقبل کے سیاسی انتظامات میں وسیع نمائندگی ، ہر طرح کے دہشت گردی سے نمٹنے کے لئے مضبوط عزم اور امن و دوستی کی خارجہ پالیسی کے لئے پختہ عزم کی عکاسی ہے۔”
