The Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing, met with the Minister of State for SAFRON and narcotic Shehryar Afridi in Islamabad on Thursday and donated 1,500 food parcels to Afghan refugees who had been stranded in various camps in Pakistan due to the restricted situation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Previously, Shehryar Afridi had written letters to the United Nations and diplomatic missions in the federal capital asking the wealthy world and donors to help Afghan refugees stranded in the restricted situation.
On this occasion, the Chinese ambassador praised Prime Minister Imran Khan’s regional and global peace initiatives. It was added that Pakistan’s role in helping Afghan refugees would be remembered for a long time.
He said that Pakistan has not only generously hosted millions of Afghans in the past four decades, but has also played a key role in bringing peace and normalcy to war-torn Afghanistan. Because of Pakistan’s leading role, the Afghan peace process is making progress that would shape the future of the Afghan nation.
SAFRON Minister Shehryar Afridi said that China has always supported human suffering. China has helped WHO and other important global initiatives are a model for the world. The friendship between China and Pakistan has become a classic example of good neighborliness and friendship. The way China fought COVID-19 is exemplary for the whole world.
چینکا افغان مہاجرین کے لئے 1500 فوڈ پیک کا عطیہ
پاکستان میں چینی سفیر یاؤ جِنگ نے جمعرات کے روز اسلام آباد میں وزیر مملکت برائے سیفران اور منشیات سے متعلق شہریار آفریدی سے ملاقات کی اور کورونا وائرس وبائی امور کے درمیان لاک ڈاؤن صورتحال کی وجہ سے پاکستان میں مختلف کیمپوں میں پھنسے ہوئے افغان مہاجرین کو 1500 فوڈ پیک عطیہ کیا۔
اس سے قبل شہریار آفریدی نے اقوام متحدہ اور وفاقی دارالحکومت میں مقیم سفارتی مشن کو خطوط لکھے ہیں ، جس میں خوشحال دنیا اور امداد دینے والوں پر زور دیا گیا ہے کہ وہ لاک ڈاؤن کی صورتحال میں پھنسے ہوئے افغان مہاجرین کی مدد کریں۔
چینی سفیر نے اس موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی جانب سے اٹھائے گئے علاقائی اور عالمی امن اقدامات کی تعریف کی۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ افغان مہاجرین کی مدد کرنے میں پاکستان کا کردار طویل عرصے تک یاد رکھا جائے گا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان گذشتہ چار دہائیوں کے دوران نہ صرف لاکھوں افغانوں کی دل کھول کر میزبانی کر رہا ہے ، بلکہ جنگ سے متاثرہ افغانستان میں امن اور معمول کی صورتحال لانے میں بھی کلیدی کردار ادا کررہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان کے قائدانہ کردار کی وجہ سے ، افغان امن عمل میں ترقی ہورہی ہے ، جو افغان قوم کے مستقبل کی تشکیل کرے گی۔
