The British High Commissioner for Pakistan, Dr. Christian Turner, on Wednesday called on Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi to the Federal Foreign Office to discuss important regional and international questions, including the situation of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Secretary of State expressed deep sadness at the loss of life in the UK caused by COVID-19, but expressed his solidarity with the British government and people.
FM Qureshi also praised the spirit and service of doctors and paramedics around the world in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The British High Commissioner thanked the Secretary of State for facilitating the return of British citizens stranded in Pakistan in the United Kingdom due to the situation caused by the corona virus.
Dr. Turner also praised the Pakistani government for its effective measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

پاکستان میں برطانوی ہائی کمشنر ڈاکٹر کرسچن ٹرنر نے بدھ کے روز وزیر خارجہ مخدوم شاہ محمود قریشی سے دفتر خارجہ میں ملاقات کی ، دونوں کوروناوائرس وبائی صورتحال سمیت اہم علاقائی اور بین الاقوامی امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔
وزیر امور خارجہ نے کورونا کی وجہ سے برطانیہ میں انسانی جانوں کے ضیاع پر گہرے رنج و غم کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے برطانوی حکومت اور عوام سے اظہار یکجہتی کیا۔
ایف ایم قریشی نے کورونا وبائی امراض کے خلاف جنگ میں دنیا بھر میں ڈاکٹروں اور پیرا میڈیکس کے جذبے اور خدمات کی بھی تعریف کی۔
برطانوی ہائی کمشنر نے کورونا وائرس سے پیدا ہونے والی صورتحال کے بعد پاکستان میں پھنسے برطانوی شہریوں کی وطن واپسی میں سہولت فراہم کرنے پر وزیر برائے امور خارجہ کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
