The Special Committee on Agricultural Products of the National Assembly asked the government to comprehensively address structural, operational and policy issues to increase the country’s agricultural exports.
High production costs, low production costs, lack of research in seed development and lack of infrastructure were found to be a barrier to Pakistan’s rising agricultural export prices and competitiveness.
Committee members expressed concern that rising food prices would undermine Pakistan’s economic growth prospects. He ressed the need for meaningful intervention, modernization and structural change in the agricultural sector.
It is noteworthy that a sub-committee headed by National Assembly member Chandana Gulzar Khan was tasked with focusing on the problems faced by agricultural exporters and making recommendations to remove barriers to increasing the country’s export value. .
Speaker Asad Khaiser of the National Assembly has convened special committee meetings to address the challenges facing Pakistan’s agricultural economy. Representatives of the All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporter, Import and Merchants Association and the Rice Exporters Association, as well as officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Food Security and the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, briefed the committee on rice challenges the next day. Waheed Ahmed, patron of the All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters and Importers and Merchants Association, warned that Pakistan would move into a low-cost food security crisis if there was no significant intervention to help the agricultural sector. He lauded the efforts of the Speaker’s National Assembly last year to break the previous record of Pakistan’s food and agricultural exports. He assured that the Members of Parliament have made great strides in accelerating the agro-economic development of the country.
Exporters have vowed to rapidly improve agricultural exports in Pakistan, which will solve their problems. They fear serious viral diseases and pests could threaten Pakistan’s $ 200 million worth of canoe exports. He called on the government to recognize and grant exclusive rights to other export sectors, including fruits and vegetables, as an industry that includes textiles, carpets, leather, sports and surgical equipment. Taftan also demanded that the quarantine facilities at the Chaman border be reactivated for the convenience of exporters. The committee also demanded that the fee for issuing phyto sanitary certificates be reduced from Rs. 2500 to 300
Rice exporters have asked the government to immediately address issues related to the availability and price of commodity logistics and as a result they are moving stock. He said its cost was three times higher than the target, but exporters were unable to fulfill their orders due to low availability. This will lead to more stockpiling than usual in the next crop, he said.

آل پاکستان پھلوں اور سبزیوں کے برآمد کنندگان اور درآمد کنندگان اور مرچنٹس ایسوسی ایشن کے سرپرست وحید احمد نے خبردار کیا کہ اگر زرعی شعبے کی مدد کے لیے کوئی خاص مداخلت نہ کی گئی تو پاکستان کم لاگت کے غذائی تحفظ کے بحران میں چلا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے گزشتہ سال سپیکر قومی اسمبلی کی پاکستان کی خوراک اور زرعی برآمدات کا سابقہ ریکارڈ توڑنے کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے یقین دلایا کہ اراکین پارلیمنٹ نے ملک کی زرعی اقتصادی ترقی کو تیز کرنے میں بڑی پیش رفت کی ہے۔
برآمد کنندگان نے پاکستان میں زرعی برآمدات کو تیزی سے بہتر بنانے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا ہے جس سے ان کے مسائل حل ہوں گے۔ انہیں خدشہ ہے کہ سنگین وائرل بیماریوں اور کیڑوں سے پاکستان کی 200 ملین ڈالر کی کینو کی برآمدات کو خطرہ لاحق ہو سکتا ہے۔ انہوں نے حکومت سے مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ پھلوں اور سبزیوں سمیت دیگر برآمدی شعبوں کو خصوصی حقوق دے اور انہیں ایک ایسی صنعت کے طور پر تسلیم کرے جس میں ٹیکسٹائل ، قالین ، چمڑے ، کھیل اور جراحی کا سامان شامل ہو۔ تفتان نے یہ بھی مطالبہ کیا کہ برآمد کنندگان کی سہولت کے لیے چمن بارڈر پر قرنطینہ کی سہولیات کو دوبارہ فعال کیا جائے۔ کمیٹی نے یہ بھی مطالبہ کیا کہ فائٹو سینیٹری سرٹیفکیٹ جاری کرنے کی فیس روپے سے کم کی جائے۔ 2500 سے 300۔
چاول کے برآمد کنندگان نے حکومت سے کہا ہے کہ وہ اشیاء کی رسد کی دستیابی اور قیمت سے متعلق مسائل کو فوری طور پر حل کرے اور اس کے نتیجے میں وہ اسٹاک منتقل کر رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس کی لاگت ہدف سے تین گنا زیادہ تھی ، لیکن برآمد کنندگان کم دستیابی کی وجہ سے اپنے آرڈر پورے کرنے سے قاصر تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس سے اگلی فصل میں معمول سے زیادہ ذخیرہ اندوزی ہوگی۔
