افغان نگراں حکومت بچوں کی ویکسینیشن مہم دوبارہ شروع کرے: یونیسیف
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has called on the Taliban’s caretaker government to resume vaccination of children amid fears of an outbreak of polio and measles in war-torn Afghanistan.
“The health system is about to collapse, we have weeks, not months or years,” said Omar Abdi, UNICEF’s deputy executive director, in a statement on Twitter last Sunday.
Abdi, who recently wrapped up a four-day visit to Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan, stressed the need for children to have access to basic health care, immunizations, nutrition, water and sanitation, and child protection services.
According to the statement, Abdi called for the immediate resumption of the measles and mumps vaccine campaign to help protect children and communities from vaccine-preventable diseases.
Several cases of polio and measles were reported in Afghanistan as the vaccination campaign was hampered after the Taliban took over in mid-August.

بیان کے مطابق ، عبدی نے خسرہ اور ممپس کی ویکسین مہم کو فوری طور پر دوبارہ شروع کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا تاکہ بچوں اور کمیونٹیز کو ویکسین سے بچنے والی بیماریوں سے بچایا جا سکے۔
افغانستان میں پولیو اور خسرہ کے کئی کیس رپورٹ ہوئے کیونکہ اگست کے وسط میں طالبان کے اقتدار سنبھالنے کے بعد ویکسینیشن مہم متاثر ہوئی تھی۔
