Congregational prayers will begin in mosques in Belgium on Friday, June 5. The ban on congregational prayers was imposed on all public gatherings in March to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The announcement of the start of congregational prayers was provided by the Pakistan Islamic Center, a Pakistani community based in Mullenbeck.
However, this permission is subject to some caution. According to the government instructions issued by the mosque administration for the public, the worshipers will perform ablutions at home and bring their place of prayers with them.
In mosques, only obligatory prayers will be offered. Prayers will be performed at home. Masks must be worn in mosques and a safety distance of one and a half meters must be maintained during congregation.
Gentlemen with fever, cold and cough and those above 55 years of age are requested not to come to the mosque for congregational prayers.
