Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umer, chairman of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), said on Sunday that shopkeepers should strictly implement the “no mask, no service” policy.
The NCOC has tried to convince market associations to implement the COVID 19 guidelines and standard operating instructions (SOP) in word and spirit.
Minister of the Interior Brig (Retd) Syed Ijaz Ahmed Shah, Minister of National Food Security and Research Fakhar Imam, Minister of Economy Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of National Security Dr. Moeed Yousaf and special assistant to part of Prime Minister for Health Dr. Zafar Mirza.
Asad Umer instructed the NCOC to focus on the plan to ease the lockout while strictly implementing the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs). The forum proposed to take severe sanctions for violating the SOPs. It should be noted that the NCOC is working on developing a long-term and short-term strategy for COVID-19 entitled “Living with the Pandemic“.
Asad Umar led a vigorous mass awareness campaign to highlight government action to curb the corona virus. The campaign should focus on ensuring people’s behavior change in relation to COVID-19 while highlighting that the government aimed to protect people from the pandemic.
